just got home (8:30 pm) got a letter on my door today, inspection tommorow morning

FUCK!

what are my rights? i am prop 215 legal medical patient also have my gf with me who is also a patient....

There is nothing in the lease about no 215 or no growing.... so what can / will they do?

i have done no damage nothing is altered i am using a tent no holes or exhaust or anything no water leaks place looks better than when i moved in....

:dunno:

id request a reschedule of inspection for anotherday if possible and work things out from there .i think the law is 24 hour notice before a landlord can inspect .if your grow is in a tent id just tuck everything in it tuck it in a corner and tell them its a extra wardrobe closet they have no right to open it.and make sure your present during inspection.

maybe rent a u-haul for the day, load everything in it, park it somewhere for an hour while they inspect...and what killedkilleryo said, see if they can reschedule it for a couple days from now, call 'em and say you have family in town with a baby or something, or just say you can't be home due to an appointment, see if it'll buy you a couple days...good luck though

I like the uhaul idea but, I'm guessing landlord/ other people would see him moving shit out. Don't mind me guys just moving out some stuff. What time is the inspection?

FUCK isn't even the word dude. why you even doing that big grow in a rental is what i want to know? you set yourself up.WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE MAN.

This is what you gotz to do bro.
you and your gf must be there when they come....

Pack up all the shit ,put all the plants in the bathroom clean up any traces of your grow.
When they come have your gf in the bathroom with the shower running and say they cant enter the bathroom because she taking a big shit and then taking a shower to get ready for work. Also make some stew in the kitchen to cover any smell which you do have , even with a carbon filter a taxpayer will smell no mater what, so cover it with making breakfast "bacon" or slow cooker and make stew.

my hungry now.lol
hopefully they will do whatever they to do and go on their way.good luck and stay safe:hide:

good drown

aww man this sucks. what is the inspection for?
make sure your place is as clean as can be. hopefully there is no odor.
you could drape some blankets over the sun hut. That way you just dont know what it is, unless you know what it is. If you can think of something to say it is, antique cabinet maybe, thats why its covered. put a bunch of empty boxes on top of it, so it looks like it hasn't moved in a long time

spritz a bit of water on your forehead (cold sweat look) and answer the door wearing
one of these, be wheezing something about the flu and invite the brave inspector in.

According to what you say, you should be just fine, don't panic. If you live in California, have a valid doctor's recommendation per Prop 215, and if it is not forbidden in your lease, you are on solid legal ground. Especially with today's California Supreme Court verdict striking down limits on how much a patient may possess.

Practically, your landlord could be ignorant and try to illegally evict you, but there is likely an "Unlawful Detainer" office at your downtown courthouse that provides free legal advice to tenants in need.

Edit: if you know a lawyer, call in a favor, have him present during inspection. Have your original recommendations and a valid ID ready to go. If no lawyer, print out Prop 215 and the news article regarding the recent Supreme Court decision. Don't deviate from the script: show them the law, show them the news, show them your recommendation, show them your lease. Don't get into your medical history, you don't want to waive your patient/doctor privilege. Its for personal use, that's all you say, nothing more. Untouchable.

get a bunch of boxes and what not all kinds of of shit and fill up the room with all the boxes and shit so you cant see the tent, and tell them you use the room for storage of all your extra shit from when you used to live in a house. so when/if they even open up the room its filled with all kinds of shit, throw a bike in there. pots and pans ,empty moving boxes whatever shit you have

bam problem solved

Just tell them you got H1N1 no need to let them think, let them know lol, and say your g/f has it too and maybe some pink eye just to put the cherry on top.

Dont worry about it, close the curtains in the room and shut the door.

When the person arrives, show them in the flat and point to the door and say sorry you can't go in that room, someone ( partner/baby ) is ill and asleep in there.

They won't go in there.

They most likely just want to have a glance around to check it's not messy etc.
