for the second time in a few months my skin has met up with a bare 1000 watt bulb. first time was on my hand, torched my skin but didnt burn the hair off! second time was last night setting up my new room, got me in the shoulder. the burning pain is unreal! clothes make it burn and i sleep on my side, oh the pain!




--first bulb burn, 70+ days old--



--last night bulb burn, may not look like much, but it absolutely kills!--

Put some water in a ziplock bag and tape it up to your shoulder so the water's always on top of the burn.

That's how I spell relief.

Also,

Try some cannabis oil or just mix/emulsify a little bud with oil in a shot glass and make a paste.

Apply on the area and tape gauze over it.

And most important:

MEDICATE!

I've learned my lessons the hard way, i have 3 small burns on my head ( im bald ), 2 on my shoulders and one on my right cheek lol. ( hand water only )

I always have long sleeve shirts line up outside the grow room
A couple pair of UV sunglasses

And i have a big o sign say ( LONG SLEEVE SHIRT AND SUNGLASSES BEFORE ENTER )

Can this really happen? I've heard its possible that oil from your skin can get onto the bulb and make it blow. Not sure if it is true though having never messed with my bulbs bare-handed

Not yet touched a light myself, but i had a pump once shoot a thick beam of water directly onto one. Cracked, buzzed and the light went out, guess i was lucky it didnt explode.

Btw doesnt aloe vera cure that pain, u get it in cream, also stores sell those pain killing creams to use on burns. Works like a charm. If not, consider this a beauty tip.

That sucks.. I remember watching tv at my buddies house one time when he was up in his grow room moving some stuff around real quick.

Then I hear this high pitched scream (unfortunately it was my friend) and then a large crash.. He had burned himself on a 1000watter and it looked so painful.
