Hi

I've bought a pack of Sensi's Early Pearl, they cost £50-thats not monopoly money guys thats real money-because our currency collapsed everythings gone through the roof:comfort:

done a search but not really feeling the results except a Finnish guy way back who ran them indoors-i'm going to run them indoors too-they are advertised as a fast finnishing Sat. And outdoors-obviously.

my Q-anyone one else tried them? Any thoughts?

cheers guys

Back in 1988 a friend of mine gave me a few seeds off of his EARLY PEARL stock to try.The weed he had produced the year before from this stock was very good and had good bag appeal. We all considered it good product. The early pearl strain was very vigorous and by mid-summer was 6-7 ft. even after topping. It grew like a candelabra with many bud sites.I had 3 big females of this strain and was gonna make seed from them.Well....to make a long story shorter.Somebody topped the shit out of them for smoke I guess so I cut them down.Yes...I like early pearl and ya done good.Someday the lights might go off and you will have a killer outdoor stock.....ol briar

hey thanks for the feedback so far-it sounds fairly encouraging so far-
bad luck Ohms Law-it's a bummer when they don't germ.

im primarily looking for something that will yield and have a chance of finishing out doors in the uk so mid Oct would be fine and a nice honey aroma would be a bonus

Ive grown early pearl several times, although not lately. It is a very good plant, strong and resistant to about anything. Easy to grow, good yeids. She can become a real whopper if grown properly. Ive never grown it indoors, but outdoors it finishes around here no later than Oct 5. She can take the cold in spring and cold and wet in the fall. Lots of resin with acceptable potency.

The males make excellent breeder plants to pass on vigor and early finishing.

Eddieshoestring, its my personal belief that a good 90 day or more cure is essential for the EP if one is to enjoy its true nature . Its potency is ok a few weeks after cut but the buzz is heady and not very enjoyable. 100 days later she's a tasty sweet bell ringer. Green weed is similar to green whiskey, green wine, green tobacco: aging is essential if excellence is to be experienced. Let her cure and you will be very happy.

tx DStoker-again that hardiness and quick finish sound like just the ticket-

i agree with you about a long cure for outdoor buds-yeah they seem to need two or three times the cure time of an indoor crop or they taste green and nasty

I ran her in the mid-90's from Sensi Seed stock and had similar results. She came in at the end of September for me at 40'. Nice sweet taste and smell, I wish she was still around. I also agree that EP is worth making some x's to toy around with. Ran her indoors as well with decent results but found an epxnl to be superior indoors.

Ive been looking at Kaya by Nirvana. I know someone that grew it indoors and said it was ok for potency, but it looks interesting and in fems.

Like DS Toker said...its growth traits make it an interesting breeder plant....something worth thinking about

thats cool-as the females got lost sometime in the spring. One of the 4males was v smelly even in veg-i used it to pollenate some of the uk cuts in the flower room-it worked. So now i have some

AK47 x EP
Pot of Gold x EP
Jack Flash x EP

I just ordered some boot-leg EP stock for outdoor this year. Sounds like a promising good harvest with these vigorous plants. The quality has got me thinking if i should get an outdoor indica like an Afghan to secure some good smoke aswell. Too bad your fems got eated :(. Have you smoked any of those crosses yet?

The answers are clear to me: EP is a strong plant, but only decent weed. What is a better outdoor early strain? Maybe less sativa genetics?
