hello i was just wondering if anyone out there knows if digital ballasts interfere with other digital equipment? i am about setting up a room now and am wondering if my two lumatek digital 600 watts are going to mess with my sentinel atmospheric control. thanks a lot.

i read an old thread where a dude claimed that he had a friend from the cable company come in and check his ballast out for interference and he said he only got a little about 6 inches from the ballast

You're gonna hear varying reports depending on who you talk to. Some people who are running digitals won't even know what you're talking about, others will tell you they have several sitting on the shelf they can't even use. If you already have them, might as well give them a shot.

most mfgs will warranty against radio interference. my quantums don't play with anything in my house but a really old 80's TV...

Really? Never heard that before. In fact, Lumatek directly states that all digital ballasts produce some RFI , and that with a 1k you should expect it to some extent, at least inside 10'.

And I ask my self again, why anyone would spend money on these if they know it might cause a problem?
