Strains for social anxiety

As the title says I want a strain that either totally makes you forgot or totally removes the feeling of social anxiety when smoking with groups of people. It's probably more of a personal problem than anything else, but I find when I smoke with one person or even a couple of people I get really self conscious, can't look people in the eyes and become very awkward socially. I'm not always like this usually, mostly when I have a smoke because it heightens my feelings of social anxiety.

When I have a smoke I get all spacey and forgetful, can't join in on 'light' conversation or be 'real' in a social situations because i'm so uptight about being awkward or acting normal.

I have done a fair bit of research and DJ shorts Blueberry seems to be the right strain for 'social anxiety' but would like to make sure it's the strain I should get considering the amount of $ it costs...

Anyway, thanks for the help.

Try some of mandala seeds gear all the strains ive tried by them are relaxing or very uplifting without any anxiety at all even the sativas, they mix landrace genes into their strains and it seems to give a more "old-school" high.

Check out Mandala seeds. I have general Anxiety disorder so I can relate to what your saying. Satori is good for this, also some of the african strains can be good. My favourite is Swazi redbeard, makes you very sociable. Sometimes lower THC strains can be good like Hindu Kush if you prefer indicas, or mapleleaf indica from sensi seeds.

Before you go anywhere go to mandalaseeds.com, there is a good choice of anti-anxiety strains.

Edit deathtosoapbar posted the same at the same time.....got yer answer then ! lol

I'm smoking Mandala #1 and Hashberry (the leaves though, they aren't flowering yet) and they still give me a bit of a racy and self-conscious high, especially when I have smoked too much. I find that strange though considering it was the reason I bought them..Maybe the buds will be better. Lets hope.

Thats because your smoking the leaves and the plant hasnt developed at all , because it is young and not flowering the amount of thc in the leaves will be extremely low and underdeveloped as in what thc is there will be all clear not cloudy or amber therefore giving a racy anxiety effect...when youve finished flowering them you ll find a totally different and less anxious effect , asssuming you flower them for long enough

Mandala 1 is nice. Smiley, wavy, a biiit trip... But like the speed queen it gives me burnout.... You might get it better indoors, grew em outside, no flush ect...

Outdoor already...

Thanks for that response deathtosoapbar. I was also thinking that, but wasn't quite sure. Because I know the longer you leave a plant to flower the more sedating and anxiety free the high is and the earlier you cut it the more energising the high is but I didn't consider this for the leaves...but does the longer flower also make it a more 'dumbing' high? I really enjoy the euphoria and creative thoughts of a more sativa strain but can't go past the anxiety free state of an indica strain, though I don't think I have had a devastating one of either

Anyway, lets hope your right. Do you still recommend the blueberry anyone?

i have seen that nl#5 is often included on the medical strain lists for social anxiety
i just grew nl#5 as a 1st inside grow, partly because it has a easy grow rep, and the other was for depression/anxiety symptoms
it really does help with anxiety, and i've found it's not overwhelming if used moderately(and a vaporizer)
smoking a whole joint though might be a bit too much of a good thing

two strains like that for me were greenhouse strawberry haze
and nyc haze or piff.
ive looked for it in other hazes, and im sure ill find it again.

they make you immediately happy. light seems brighter, but not so intense that it makes you want to squint. All your anxiety is wiped away and you're left smiling like an idiot and not caring what anyone thinks. it like taking off sunglasses and seeing the world.

blueberry is a nice indica with some anxiety relief, but it doesnt give you the extra kick of energy that a haze variety will. the potency just isnt very high on bluebery either (as with the strawberry haze), but that can be a good thing as it allows you to regulate how much you smoke a little easier. if you are trying to regulate your anxiety, you obviously dont want to smoke too much and hit the noided out state of mind

Ya Blueberry & Bubblegum from Sensi are both very good. I suffer from PTSD and they work wonders.

I can only find NL#5 x Haze on the bou. and no Leb27. Every other seedbank I have ordered from has let me down, so i'm hesitant to go anywhere else...

i got my nl#5 from highgrade-seeds.com
i know it's hard to find these days
i had good luck with the highgrade strain, i did 2 cash orders last year, they came through both times
still haven't cracked the other order, just revegging and cloning the nl#5 female i've been lucky enough to find

most of the landraces for wet climates is waste of time and space.

Flo is what you need, you can get the Original Flo version from Dutch Passion. excellent one!

Depends on your head chemistry then. Nl#5 generally makes me stupid and tired. I does remove the anxiety, I guess, but the end result is not productive for me.

I'd like to try some satori I have but I definitely find a few strains help quite a bit.
Princess Diesel
Sour Diesel (short medication time)
Lemon skunk
Lemon Drop
Cinderella-99 (though you may want to let her run longer for a more mellow experience)

Lots of good stuff out there. :D

could be head chemistry, but i did harvest pretty early, 1st hint of amber, still was a lot of clear
no knock out at all, at least if vaping
i'm finding the longer i've been going with it, the better i feel

Another vote for Mandala Satori. Sativa without that caffeine edge - with a nice calming effect generally..... damn, i'm craving it again....
