How many lights?

I have two DR150 tents that are 5Wx5Lx6.5H. in one I'm going to do a vscrog, in the other a stadium style grow. Each has a 4 foot glass tube used as a cool tube. Should I use one 1000w light or two stacked in each tent?

Yeah, i'd say go with the 1K...or if you absolutely want to use the cool tube...2 x 600's would be straight too.

A 1000-wt light will illuminate roughly a 6"x6" area or 8"x8" area depending on the reflector you choose. I would not go beyond these recommendations. With a 1000-wt light hps you get 140000 lumens at about 1 foot away. around 45000 lumens at 2 feet and so on it goes down from there wrather rapidly giving off around 15000 lumens at around 3" to 4" above canopy. Will you be using ventilation for this light source???
If so a 1000 can be put closer but in my own opinion I would run the 600's you can put them closer and in the and get more light where it is meant to be going with far less dark areas with plant faarther away from light source. I recently purchased a DR300 running 4000-wt it has been awsome but with 6-600's I would be much more satisfied overall with light distrabution. Anyway do what you will we all will anyway.

Thanks all for stopping by and giving me your insight. I have one 1KW and ordered another for the other tent. I liked how tight and big the buds were when I flowered with the 1kw compared to the 6oow.
