Anyone using coco with organic nutes and tap water?

I have the dreaded chloramine in my tap water and I haven't heard much about peoples experiences using organics with this combo. I'd love to stay organic if at all possible, but if its a totally negative combination then I'll steer clear.

I haven't had a problem yet and I'm in flower. I'd say keep a close eye. They will tell you if they are getting too stressed.

Yeah i dont see anything about chloramine on that site. The filter claims it removes free chlorine which implies the unbonded chlorine atom. Unfortunately there's not an easy answer to remove chloramine (chlorine and ammonia molecule). You gotta break the chemical bond then remove the chlorine and ammonia. Its lame.

Well water shouldn't have any bad contaminants in it..................but don't quote me on it. Hopefully someone w/ more info about well water will chime in.

R/O filters do remove chloramine, and a lot of other water treatment chemicals. Your plants grow healthier and taste better. I've been there, done that.

Removing the chlorine from my tap water changed my organic coco grow from barely surviving to doing very well. It's one of the biggest changes I have ever made in the 6 years I have been growing this lovely plant. Adding coco to my organic mix seemed like a failure at first, because I suspect losing your micro-herd to chlorine leads to a lot of problems specific to coco. Once chlorine was gone though I stopped having magnesium, calcium, and watering problems. Mine might be called a soil or soilless mix, but it's mostly coir either way. Organic coco is awesome once it's dialed in though.
