Issues with timer..Help!

After going thru several low priced timers im starting to get a little confused..every timer i buy always fails to fire my system up and im running less than 1k? could somebody give me an answer on what is wrong or what timer i need? i keep looking for inductive loads listed on em and cant find that on even the 50dollar ones?

I gave up the commercial available timers a long time ago and started building my own.

Never had a failure since.

all off the same circuit?

May not have as much to do with your timers as it does with tripping a breaker

either in the timer or the house

water heater timers are 40amp (usually) 220v and wire up directly to the 220v wire...no power supply needed.

There are wiring diagrams with the timer. If you can't read the diagram, you probably shouldn't be messing with wiring the timer.

PS After melting a timer over 20 years ago...I never use anything but the 40 amp intermatics. Rugged, trouble free and not too costly.

so you have separate circuits to each timer with a fuse connected? Im sure you issues were something else than the timers.

What make and model of timer? That information is usually available online in knowledge bases...customer service and such. Wiring diagrams and other other info...

its a ge indoor electrical water heater time switch that didnt come with directions just a crappy ass wiring diagram that i cant seem to follow. i been lookin everywhere online and cant find the guide i need as most of them refer to the timers with wires coming from the back, mine has terminal connections so none really help me. so im running only my 400 with a busted timer for now untill i get a new one installed..hopefully my girls will make it thru without hermin on me..anyway i thank the ones who had sum type of input, really thanks yall.. wish me luck.
