So I've been doing some reading about Fritillary seeds. They sent in the TNT mix pack seeds and seems they also sent in a load of SSH F2's.

The only lady I have from my mixed pack looked like a hybrid in veg. Once bloom hit, it stretched and grew just like a sativa, so I'm thinking I might have found a SSH F2 lady in this mixed pack...

She had the same yellowing issue this whole grow had, but the buds are getting pumped full of crystals. Too bad I'm moving when she is at 56 days flowering. I don't know how she is going to finish up yet...

So...

I still have a c99 and tnt plant flowering. Neither are done, and unfortunately, I have no more time for them. The lights are off and they are being left in their pots to mature as much as possible while I head out to snow country for a while.

They will probably get the chop in two weeks. They should be dried by then anyhow. I'll be making some dry sift out of the tnt mix after all the inspirational shots I've seen lately and I'll have a nice harvest of c99 beans also.

Prepare for a better run next year with 3 different c99 females that need to be flowered out and tested for potential and a new bulb. I'll be looking out for that pineapple lady.

Merry Christmas IC, and a happy new year if you don't hear from me...

I'm super stoked for the C99 to come a long. Can't wait for pics! Happy holidays to ya, take care and be safe.

Thanks for the well wishes catman. I hope the holidays were as good to you as they've been to me so far. I'll be visiting the grow within a week and will be making some dry sift using some silk printing screens I found on ebay. I still have a small seeded c99 #1 and a TNT mix female that need to come down that will be used for some serious hash making.

After watching skunkman's dry sift thread take off, I have the urge to give it a try, and while I'm sure I won't be achieving his purity, I'll try to show my method and get some pointers.

I also took something like 40 c99 clones from the 3 ladies I have, and they are sitting in a one time use bubble cloner (ziplock tupperware) and will hopefully be passed around a bit, so I can get a few other opinions on which of these ladies are the tastiest and strongest.

Pics of the hash soon.

Cheers and have a great new year,

Hope everyone's holidays went well. It's getting close to the time to start up another round of girls. I took down the remaining TNT girl and my small C99 which have since been dried and the smoking has begun...

I have around 20 C99 beans to look for a nice male to cross to the nicest three of the girls I got from the original pack. All 3 of the girls will be flowered out in the next couple months, as clones are rooting now.

In the meantime I decided to build myself an after Christmas present and made my own dry sift box! Right now I only have a 126 micron screen in there but a 76 micron one is also on the way. Unfortunately there was a little shipping mix up. Regardless, the 126 micron by itself makes some good hash.

Here's the tray, just a chunk of tile, some pine, a few nails, and a silk screen... Fastened together atm...

See ya next week as I set up shop in the stealth dresser again! DWC and hempys for the next round, along with a new bulb, should improve my yield and quality a little hopefully.

----Edit ----
Just noticed a dog hair managed to make its way into my hash after looking at the pics again. So much for purity...

I got my silk screens off of ebay. Just search for silk screen mesh and a few options pop up right away. I expect a rip or tear eventually, and I have enough to replace my screen half a dozen times now. Just pop a few staples into the bottom and I'll have a brand new screen.

Those screens you posted look nice too. Probably a better quality screen but for that price I could build another 3 of my boxes here.

Thanks for stopping by.

Found 40 sq/ft of monofilament 180 lpi mesh (which they equate to 90 micron) for $20. Definitely beats the pre-framed price!

Out of curiosity, what size (lpi/micron) mesh are you using? I've been using 110 for a first run, then 180 for a second run (screening first run's kief), and getting some really nice, melt-in-your-hands hash. Toss the skuffed trim and what's left on the 180 screen into some butter, and you're looking at some great 'salvage' material!

Right now I have a # 140 on my box (~126 micron) and I have a #200 n the way (~76 micron) that I plan to add to it. I tried to match the sizes of my screens to the bubble bags and bubblemans dry sift box.

Tonight marks the beginning of round two. I just got back from the hydro shop and am all ready to rock and roll I believe. They even hooked me up with some free compost tea!!

I have 3 ladies (3 different C99 females) ready to be placed in hempy buckets and flowered out. They are already vegged and have a nice root system established. Right now they are in soil, so I plan on repotting to hempy's tommorrow and letting them acclimate to their new environment over the weekend. The stealth cab will be flipped to 12/12 at the beginning of next week if all goes well.

Also clones have rooted and my best two will be vegged in DWC for a little while, and then thrown into a bucket when they have reached a satisfying height. I've heard the C99 doesn't stretch much, so I will gauge how tall I need to veg the DWC ladies by how much these hempy girls stretch.

The show must go on, and I'm already getting sick of the TNT girl I cut. A lemon taste to her, but she needed another few weeks that I just wasn't able to give her :dunno:

Pics soon of the updates to the cab and the new girls!

Cheers,

Here's some shots. The cab is officially changed over to hempy and DWC.

For the hempy buckets, I have 3 (qty) - 1.25 gal hempy buckets with a different C99 in each. Two are already repotted, and I'm waiting for the third to finish drinking her tea that she was fed last.

I have 2 (qty) - 2gal DWC buckets. 1 C99 (2) clone has made its way into the bucket already, and the other is waiting to be filled. During the transplant I was a bit rough with her, so we will see how she takes to it. She is sitting in a very mild nutrient solution that sits at a ph of 5.4 atm and is hanging out in the veg cab for the time being.

Here's one of the buckets...

...and deep inside my 'net pot' is the little clone waiting to bust out.

As far as changes to the cab, here's kinda how the setup will look. Just imagine the DWC bucket isn't dirt filled and there will be another one in the back left corner. I was also lazy and haven't changed to my new bulb yet... :dunno:

Starting some new beans to find some good moms for the outdoor season. In the mix we have Blueberry, New Hashberry (New Purple Power x Hashberry), Pure Power Plant, and NH x PPP. Just threw 4 beans into some coco today after their tap roots popped out. Once established, they will be transplanted into a DWC tub. I popped 3 of each strain for starters :dunno:

I had to change out my current DWC reservoir. I started to get a white slime on my roots which I have traced back to my batch of hygrozyme. It was a little over a year old and I was on the lookout for it because I thought the enzymes might have started to go bad. Sure enough they did, and I hopefully saved my C99 clone in there.

The girls are loving the hempy buckets too. Pretty decent growth for the beating I put them through this winter. Straight up GH 3 part from the bottle with a little splash of Cal-mag. Luckily I didn't add any hygrozyme to these girls because I wanted to see if it was still a good batch. They definitely got their legs under them these four days, now I hope it's off to the races!

I've been busy today. Made some ISO oil with some extra scraps I had lying around. A mixture of stems, vaporized bud, dry sifted bud, and trim was used with 70% iso to make two batches of oil.

The first batch was my quality batch. All the scraps were placed into a silk screen strainer and I poured the iso through. Contact time was ~2 seconds except for the end stuff I had to squeeze out. That may have taken ~15 seconds. Yield was .1 grams.

Just getting started

The next run was the quantity run. I added my 70% iso to a jar with the scraps and shook for around ~30 seconds. I let it sit for a minute. Another ~30 seconds of shaking and then ~10 seconds to squeeze out all the excess iso. Around ~130 seconds of contact time. Still ended up with some excellent oil. Yield was 0.8 grams.

Just getting started, but the oil is already a much darker green/brown...

The total oil from the day. Solid and manageable. Not too sticky, and bubbles nicely. Quality on the right and quanity on the left. Yummy.

I could estimate for you but I'm not sure of exact numbers. Something in the range of 3 to 3.5 ozs. I think much more is possible from this cab though. The NH girls were just under an zip each ~ 22-25 grams. The TNT girl was probably right around a zip. The 2 other PPP's and my C99 make up the rest.

Hopefully better numbers will come from this run though . Off to get some pics now...

First the veg cab... Exciting?? Not so much. A few clones of the C99 girls, and a bunch of new seeders. A bigger C99 mom in the front. BB, NH, NH x PPP, and PPP all in there. 11/12 on seeding germination with hopes for the last one.

The flower cab is rocking. Day 5 of flowering over here with my 3 C99 ladies in hempy buckets.
