what are you looking for help with? exactly?

if your gonna run clones better start thinking about getting moms up and running.

what latitude are you at and whats you season, frost to frost?

if your gonna get seeds yet, and want early skunk, get Mr Nice, much better value IMHO.

might wanna run 2 strains, just as insurance against molds and finish times.

how many plants roughly? spread you spots out,in other words have at least 2 plots, incase of discovery.

just wondering what my fellow icmagers think about seeds vs clones, also fem. vs standard

im in socal so no frost lol, i would like to have a variety but as of yet i can only afford five plants and they will be spread out over about a 50sqr foot plot

THC, If i were only able to have 5 plants.. i would go with seeds and dig out holes to hold around 100+ lbs. of potting mix/peat, and only put in ground after sex has shown..maybe veg them inside for 1-2 months if u can then put them out mid may-1st of june. u will have trees by august...depending on ur space, i hade better luck with standard seeds last few seasons vs. fem. but all mine were GHS fem other's maybe better. As far as 5 plants in 50 sq ft area.. id go more like 5 plants over 50 acre area..hope this helps btw nice video link..im watching it now..thanks bro

If you have rooted clones of a good strain available to you then by all means, that would be the easiest.

The next easiest method would be to go with femmed seeds. Sprout and plant- with no need to grow 2x the number of plants just to cull out the males.

If i didnt have to worry about frost, I probably would go with a strain that finished in mid october. Generally, there is a significant increase in potency with strains that take those extra couple of weeks to finish up. Early skunk is good and some pehno's are very good but it doesnt finish until the 7th or 8th day of oct. Super silver haze will finish the 20th wilth potency that will blow ES out of the water. Sensi's jamacan pearl is a powerhouse that finishes a week later than ES.

Good moster fems

Black Jack, sweet seeds Oct 20
Jack Flash, Sensi seeds Oct 2o
super silver haze, Greenhouse Oct. 20

There are a bunch of them

my sister is 215 so i could get clones again if i wanted to but clones just seem unnatural somehow lol and thanks for the advice ill definitely do a little more research on your strains, but from what i hear SSH has a pityfull yield..

also, any thoughts on my soil/nute choice? fyi four will be potted and one will be in an "earth hole" inspired by Backcountry

Good clones rock and will save you 2-3 months. Just make sure you get them used to being outside over 2-3 days.... if you put them directly outside they'll fry.

SSH has a pitiful yield but you'll be damn glad you planted it. It's not a cash crop... no. It's definitely something you'll like for your head though.

Make sure you grow in at least 3 areas. 1 area for nature to eat/kill, 1 area for rippers to steal and 1 area for you to harvest and enjoy. More than 3 is better. :D

Stay Safe! :tree:

i dunno my ssh is a huge yeilder and i used to have a pic of a 11 pound ssh outside. Any plant is a big yielder if you get it big too. You should get medical and then build a greenhouse, they do well in san diego

ssh can reach a good size yield moderately well outdoors

clones shouldnt be much different than seeds if grown properly. Im not sure i could tell the difference come october, between a well rooted clone planted on May1 and a seed plant planted on may 1 if the soil, sun and water is good.

Regaurding soil: The fact that cannabis plants will grow in water,(hydro) with only nutrients added indicates to me that "soil" is given more consideration than may be necessary. . Clearly if the medium contains the necessary nutrients, has the proper ph and is loose enought to allow root development then the plants will flourish reguardless of other aspects of the medium. I use a cheap wal mart soil. I add a 12oz cup of perlite and 1, 12 oz. cup of Epsoma's Plant-tone per bag,(a concentrated organic fert). 1 bag per plant hole which cost me about 3$ per hole. That concoction has gotten me several 1lb harvests and its cheap, so i stick with it.
