Light question for monther plant?

hi guys, im onto my second grow of chronic and have taken a 4 week clone from my veg room and wanting to put it into a room so i can have a mother... my question is what is the min light (w) required to have the mother grow at a healthy rate?

totally depends how many clones you want. if you don't need many then it only takes like 46 watts of CFLs and one mother. if you need quite a bit for a perpetual SOG then maybe you'll need some t-5 fluorescents and maybe 2 mothers. you can do it your own style really. just plan ahead. the only way you can figure it out is by trying it.

i am new to the mother plant thing i have a large clone tray that i use for clones 4 x 40w T5`s and am now just trying my first mother cupboard and am going to have 4 x 8" pot moms with a 6400k 130w fluro

well ive got rooms, one for veg ( 25 max ) and one for flower (40 max) so idealy ild like to be able to take min of 25 clones every 4 weeks

That's too much light for rooting clones. I can have up to four trays/domes using 2 x 16w cfls's.

Getting 25 clones/month is easy from a small mom. You should take a look at some info here on Bonsai moms, it should help you figure out what you want to do.

have a look at my journal i rooted 22 clones in my clone tray 4 x 40w T5.

Now they are in a cupboard with 1 x 130w to veg and all is fine how is it you say 4 x 40w is too much i had them rooted in 10 days ?
