hey guys, i was thinkin bout getting a portable air conditioner for my 3/3/5'6'' grow tent. I am tired of the noise of fans. I was wondering if i get it, i dont have to use any fans inside. What i want to do is just run the air conditioner and the exhaust fan. Will that work or do i need to have a fan inside?

this all depends on the portable unit your looking at some have a dedicated cooling system and some just have a heat exhaust.. If smell is an issue you will want the tent to have negative pressure (walls cave in) that way you know ware the stink is going.
I used it like this one time. Made the walls all large in a veg tent.. It came on an awful lot not very effective.
Later i moved it inside the tent but it took up a lot of space ... It sucked the tent inward evean though the intake and the exhust were out side the tent... this told me that it exhusted air inside the tent as well... when running co2.. not ideal.
still dident work that well it seemed to be on more then 50% of the time.... I HATE TENTS NOW they all ways get hot for me... its the lack of free space that just makes them to hot. I need SPACE!
