Basically i own a project Integra that i was buying some parts for. luckily the amount of money in question is only 190, but its still something i want to fight for.

I paypal'd this guy 190 on december 17th for a set of tail lights and suspension parts.

He doesnt reply until later claiming he got arrested for domestic violence.

Long story short i know hes a confirmed scammer. I have his paypal address and his screen name from Honda Tech.com I have already opened a dispute and made it an official claim.

Luckily his supposed address is only a few hours north of me

Basically the guy will have, I believe it was 20 days, to respond with a tracking number or other proof of shipment before the dispute defaults to you. And if they find in his favor dispute it again.

What do you want to know? I've won two disputes.

I've dealt with paypal multiple times and sometime things do work out great, if you paid him with a CC instead of your checking account and if paypal wont reimburse that fee you can always contact your CC and have them take that it back ( it works ).

I've been on HT for sometime and yes there are A LOT of scammers out there.

Good luck bro

yea this guy got like 6 people!! he collected like 1000 of our dollars in mid december, then early january he claimed he was arrested for domestic violence.

luckily we caught on and have all opened disputes, but it still seems pretty helpless.

apparently this guy has been using several paypal addys, and when the authorities contact the person registered to the paypal account, they claim it was an "evil ex roomate" who paid his rent via the paypal account.

SHADY STUFF!

so basically, the guy has a bunch of stolen funds in his account but we cant do anything until january 21st!!!

thats more than enogh time for him to withdrawel the funds and dissapear!

it takes time but you'll be alright
i think, when i had a dispute, it took around 2 months to get my cash back
you said yourself he's a confirmed scammer so think about how many other disputes are being held against him

yea unbelievable how blatent some people are, and even more scary how common it is.

is paypal paying this out of pocket or are they filing criminal charges? because this guy scammed like 6 different people all over the place. most of us got ripped for like 150-200 ish but one guy got hit for 400 dollars.

theres stories on hondatech of guys getting scammed for 3000 dollars for rims and shit OUCH.

I always won my disputes

don't worry about it
if you have proof he didn't send/you didn't receive, it's gonna get settled

+1

I have done this. Made a trip to socal from LV for a paintball marker a little fuckface with a shitload of feedback didnt feel like shipping after i sent mine + cash(paypal). Anyone who plays, knows the bitches can cost 2k. I showed up with a friend. No weapons, except for a bat and the usual tire iron in the truck. DONT START WITH VIOLENCE. We simply asked for the marker or we'd pursue further action. Im not a big guy by any means, and he just handed it over. Most people dont know what to do, when theyre not behind a screen.

If its close, pay him a visit. If its not, find a close friend who is.
