How can you have 40lbs of unfertilised soil if it contains manure? it sounds like your compost is ready to go! maybe a bit extra vermiculite in it.

I'd use a gallon or two of the sand, all the vermiculite (and maybe a gallon or two of perlite if you can find it) and add a few cups of oyster shell or dolomite lime. An easy way to mix a big amount of soil is with a large tarp laid out in the yard. Just pull the corners alternatively to fold the mix different ways. An amazingly fast and efficient method a genious friend of mine thought up for mixing concrete on a remote beach.

Hi there. I would look into Mr Sub Cools Soil mix. Also if you have an access to Worm Castings. Mix in like 25% worm castings to your mix. You will be impressed with the qualities as it is perfect nourishment to your babies and it is a Non-burning source of Nitrogen. You can also use it as a top dressing to feed as you water as well. Mushroom Compost and steer manure are also excellent soil amendments as well. Coco Coir is good amendment that holds lots of oxygen in the soil and holds moisture well too. Safe and Happy growing. Regards.

Ok to aswer your question now as I read into thing too much. I would mix all your vermiculite into the soil and not quite half of the sand and mix it all up on like someone mentioned a bib tarp pt some tubs where you could mix it up thoroughly. Viola enfin.

Ok there is no chemical fertilizers added:tumbleweed

That's fine, and ... Listen, and and LISTEN again:prettyplease:do not add nothing but PHed water until you lose colour on your bottom leaves

If you feel to take others advice, that's great, you only have my view on things, stiil, good luck,

I would still appreciate your feedback in the near future, thanks, ray

yes but how would you mix the soil

K

Kola Radical

I used to use FFOF but now I use Roots Organics. Both have about the same consistency. I couldn't tell you the portions, but I would try to duplicate those types of mixes if possible.

I love how everyone tells you what to mix in when you dont have it. So back to the original question.

I would personally do 3 parts soil to 1 part sand 1 part verim.

With what you have, and nothing else, i'd put aside the sand and mix the soil 4:1 with the vermiculite. (but that's just me)
