Has anyone used or is using a Quantum 600 with an Ushio HPS bulb?

I've heard a lot of things about matching bulbs to ballast. Would this combo do ok together?

I've seen a lot of people on here running that combo successfully. It's preferred over most others. I personally use 1k hortilux hps on a lumatek. But if they'd had quantum's at my local hydro store I would have gotten one after only hearing good things. And the only reason I use horti's and not ushio's is because my store gives away a free horti with any ballast. I'm not about to buy another bulb after getting a $100+ one for free. Haven't had any problems yet with my combo either.

Yeah it seems like a pretty ugly clone scene in Colorado.

I have a couple friends who run the Ushio 1000w conversions in veg. They claim the color is similar to the Horilux Blue. I have yet to see any of the HPS bulbs but, if they are anything like the conversions I'm sure the plants will do well under them.
