You ever hit loveland pass? Always had fun there. You can check out hidden valley near Estes, long hike but worth it.

I am just getting my bearings in Breck. Before I moved, I mostly went to Aspen/Snowmass and Park City/Deer Valley/Alta. Occasionally I would go to Big Sky, MT.

I am a little pissed off right now, cause I just got back from snapping my carbon fiber pole in half, after a dropping a 15 footer. Sucks. Now I have to go rent some bullshit, for my last day here. I am definitely not going to buy something at a ski resort in peak season.

It seems the storms are going north and south of summit county this year. But Utah always gets puked on by the snow gods.

I am coming to CO for just the opposite reasons. 1#To grow the finest I can, legally. 2# To make big turns in tight steep trees.

I had to give up some of the things I loved most for some security and family. No regrets. But, I can't wait to be back in the west.

I used to be a DH racer/rider and did a ten year tour of the west. But then it was back to the South for a while. I had to completely give up the boards. A week a year would just be torture on my soul.

But next winter is mine and I can't wait.

I am pissed that I was in a meeting and missed Rez's latest drop.

I checked going in and coming out.

Anyway I am planning on a run of 20 5gals in a coco mix. I was hoping for sssd but I guess I will run with some of the seed I have on hand; Fucking incredible,lsd, light of Jah and romulan.

Make some big turns for me

One thing I have noticed, is ski towns used to have T-shirts with alcohol themes to them. Now it's ALL weed. I got a shirt that has a picture of the zig zag man, and says Park City.

Hidden Valley Ski Area is now closed. The lifts have been removed. What is left are fantastic runs for the backcountry enthusiasts.

Rocky Mountain National Park has a visitor center and just past the visitor center is where you will need to pay an entrance fee. To see current park entrance fees, please see RMNP Entrance Fees.

Hidden Valley ski area opened in 1955 and closed as a ski area in 1991. The lower area of the valley, below Trail Ridge Road is great for beginner and intermediate skiers/boarders. Above Trail Ridge road is where you find the expert runs. Trail Ridge Road is closed in the winter from roughly November to May or June.

I used to race back in school out east. I did slalom and GS and super G.

I had a great day today, until I broke my pole. I actually went and got a good deal on some brand new carbon SWIX. Gave the guy a lift ticket I wasn't going to use.

20 5 gals should do the trick. I love Coco, shit is so easy. Used to do the organic thing, but I can't spend all my time mixing nutes. I get much better results with what I am doing now.

yo bobby...what do you mean mixing nutes with organics? Are you talking about at the start of a run? Or did you use some other technique?

By "the organic thing" I meant mixing organic teas and all that shit. Back in the CTSV days, I used the Moonshine Mix, and some of my own teas. Shit took forever, and did not get as good of results.

I am now doing H3ad's formula with Coco. And a little Bloombastic in flower.

Is that what you meant?

Life is to damn short to make organic teas.

I am looking forward to the coco. Do you ever try doubling up smaller varieties in 5 gals? It seems like it would bean ideal medium for it. I would'nt think they would get root bound. Your thoughts?

The only reason you weren't racing DH is cause you were back east. I loved super d and dh. Good times. Racing sets such a good foundation for when you really want to learn how to ski. How the saying go, "Go west and put yourself to the test."

Yeah i gotcha...that's what i meant. I'm still trying the organics out, and things are working out ok, but i rarely use any teas...if ever.

Tonatiuh: Thanks for stopping by bud. It's really nice out here, I wish there was some more snow though. Ah well. Yeah, that pole had all 200 pounds of me come down on it, at a pretty good free fall, poor thing never had a chance. Got some new Carbon poles, and for cheap too. Take care T.

LIFEISGOOD: Yeah. The "Mountains" out east are way too small for DH. Might get one gate in. I started skiing when I was three. I was fortunate enough to have parents that are addicted as well, and took me 2-3 times a year. All over Colorado, Utah, Montana, etc. I was good at a young age, but it was all jumps and no fundamentals. I went to school out east at 12, and only then did my fundamental skiing improve. Skiing everyday for 6 years, really helped me get the whole dynamic down. The racing especially. Nothing like hucking down a sheet of ice in a skin tight fart bag, after 100 kids have scraped it clean, too teach you how to edge properly. I ski everything now. I love technical stuff, and the back country, but my racing roots come out, and Ill find a groomed Blue and absolutely scorch down that thing. Sail about 20 feet over a slight undulation. Perfect form. There is a Zen to the whole thing.

I digress.

As for doubling up, I don't see why not. If you were veggin to about 5-6 inches, you could probably fit 3 single stalkers in there, with no topping. Just a straight cola.

I am not going that route personally. I have a plant limit to think about, and most of my experimental work when I get back to the Chamber, will be with vertical lights, and LONG veg periods. I want to start seeing 10-15 zips per plant.


Solarz:Teas are a mess IMO, but to each there own. Keep me updated on how it comes out.

i agree bobby - teas seem to get great results but there is no way i'm brewing tea and carrying it up into my attic!
i put all the ferts into the soil before i start - then you only have to do it once. i dont usually give them much other than water after that - maybe some biobiz bloom or molasses a couple times later in flowering.

looks like you've landed on your feet (or skis) in CO - good luck
