Pics of my FIRST ever Stealth grow box (in progress)

So here's some pics of my 1st grow box I've ever made. the cabinet is 16" inner growing dimensions and with the way I am placing my lights the plants will be able to use almost every inch of space for the growth.

Stealth yes, but inside things are starting to take shape slightly

I need to buy some more reflective material tomorrow I thought I had enough and I am wrong. I am using those reflective shades you put in the front windshield of your car to prevent the dash from getting sun-burnt, very inexpensive and highly reflective.

I will be using four bulbs right now, and if the temp is too low I'll add another 2-4 bulbs via more y-connectors.

For growing I'll be using:

4x 26watt 6500k = veg
4x 23watt 2700k = flower.

For Ventilation I am putting a small carbon filter up in one of the corners inside the cabinet to maintain stealth with a passive intake in the floor of the cabinet (making a hole in the back and putting a grille over it, fresh air will come in and scrubbed air will exit through the top.

For soil I got Premium Nature Mix by Hortibec All Purpose Potting Soil.:dunno: My soil does not say what percentages of what are in it but on the back it says that the soil contains Peat Moss, Humus, Compost, Perlite. :whistling: Please any tips from someone experienced on if this soil might be any good or terrible. I have been unable to find Fox Farm soil so far but I still want it.

I picked up some Schultz 10-15-10 Liquid Plant Food thinking this would work well for my needs. Please any input on if this food is good or if I should take it back and get something better? Suggestions?

Inside my grow box I plan to put a few trays in there and setup a bunch of 600mil pop bottles Dr. Bud styles and keep up a Perpetual SoG harvesting 4-5 plants every week with a total of probably 42 plants in the box. With such little vertical growth to play with I plan to have the clones in the box at 4-5".

So I've been lurking around the forums for a long time now and wanted to share my 1st experience with you all and get feedback on the whole thing.

Thanks for reading and let me know your thoughts! (Yea I know its not much to look at yet, putting the lights and wiring in tomorrow then you'll get a better look)

nice cabinet, the thing stopping me from using wooden pieces like that is I don't have an electric saw to cut holes, or a workshop. good luck.

Im definitely going to be watching this grow. If you can, return those phillips bulbs that you bought (I presume that thats what you bought) and go buy some SunMaster CFL Bulbs (Call up the place before walking in to make sure that they carry the cfls), It'll be the best decision that you've ever made. They pump out the same Lumens, same lifetime, half the wattage, half the heat, and you can twice as many bulbs in the same place that you're putting those 42 watters. Trust me on this one!!!

I'd say try to use another fertilizer. I'd return the lights, and plant food at the same time. Go with something slightly more advanced on the nutrients side, pick up some fancy mollasses as well. (Walmart has some, don't get the Great Value brand though) You can pick up a PH test kit for 10-20 bucks. 1 tsbp of mollasses per gallon of nutes. (I found that there are a lot of generic mollasses brands that have the EXACT same specifications that Grandma's Mollasses has!!!) If the natural source is the same, then it'll be the exact same. Not only that but some companies release the same product with different labelling for more consumers. Some people may be discouraged by the name, or by the colors on the box, etc.

I be watching you! :joint: :smoker:

just a small update, I got the cab up and running for my little seeds.

Tell me if I did this wrong but I put my 4 seeds in the Jiffy cakes (after expanding them and squeezing some of the water out) and then put my dome in the grow chamber.

Let me know if I did it wrong..

PS. In the 1st pic here you see the lights almost touching the roof, I have moved the lights after I took the pic and they are about 1 1/2" from the ceiling now, I will fix it tomorrow after work so its totally level.

a small PC fan for exhaust and a few passive intakes will drop the temp for ya. try to position the exhaust at the same level as the lights or a bit higher.
your seeds should be fine in the pucks and dome. it's a very common way to sprout them.
good luck with your first grow.

Very good luck with your first grow. Hide that extension chord ;). The dome sounds good :D. Just don't over water them or let them sit soaking in water.

Ok, a buddy of mine donated me 3 clones. I am thinking that all 3 of them are males, they seem to have a growth at the branch stems, but for some reason the plants seem to be growing buds while only a few inches tall, so these "balls" I am seeing may just be bud sites. I am posting a wack of pictures please give your input.
