i've noticed that i'm more pissed off driving at night.
feels like everybody is high beaming.
thought maybe my eyes were going bad.
atleast i know i'm not alone.
either that, or we all gotta get our eyes checked.

If you think that is bad think about those idiots with 4 HID ( 2 head lights 2 fog lights ) with out any reflectors.

I have HID on on my car that is lifted but i point them down so i dont blind other people.

Cheers,

My old vehicle had lights so dim that you could leave the hi beams on and no one would notice! hahah these days the HID's are brutal! I spend a lot of time on the road and it is definitely getting worse..

I apologize to all I may have offended. I ride with the H.I.Ds:biggrin:......
They are standard on my car and I get Highbeamed all day long by drivers on the other side thinking I am using my high beams as well. I don't usually return the favor but, when i'm in that mood, I give those guys a Blast from the hyper whites to calm their asses down.....
In all seriousness....I wouldn't trade them for the world... I can spot a bullfrog scratchin his ass alongside the road edge at 90 at 2 in the morning no problem.:watchplant:

maybe it's because we're all stoners and the cumulative decades of expanding our pupils have worn out the ring around'em.

Thank the DOT for the stupid regulations

In Europe(Germany anyway) headlights are way better.....the light is brighter but the beam pattern dosent blind oncoming traffic. Its a common mod for US owners of european cars to switch to e-code reflectors and bulbs although they are illegal to use on the highway.

Another problem is the overgrown trucks and suv's, being in a car driving towards a truck the headlights shine straight thru the cars windshield......

all true. got this mod on the gti. Also ride my bike with my 55w hids on at all times. Too many mutherfuckers think their right turn is more important than my life.

This is one of my pet peeves about driving in any large urban area in California, no one seems to kick down their high beams, and apparently cars in California do not come equipped with turn signals. I am well experienced with driving in heavy downpours, but try doing it at night, when everyone around you has their headlights stuck on high, and all are doing 20 miles over the speed limit, talk about a death wish.

Also, about 10 years ago or so, low beams on new cars became as bright as high beams used to be, and started turning blue. Whats more, everyone started driving SUVs and full size pickups, which puts the headlights right at driver eye level for those driving practical vehicles.

AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH

hid's for my FJ are nxt

I got the 50w hid and boy does it work... makes the retro reflective signs blinding...

I never ride with hi beam when there is oncoming traffic and i never get flashed...

This is a pet peeve of mine too! Oh, how I hate to be followed by some idiot with their high beams on!

AND! They will be following me and when they see an oncoming car, the dim the lights, then put them back on high and continue following me. UGH.

I got a Million candlepower light that plugs into the dash. I use it to shine back at them, and it works sometimes....

Hey drivers! If you are following a car, dim your lights!

yeah but not surprising, there are scores of people that do it

Tonight was an interesting drive home.. Snowing big dollar coin sized flakes for about 5 hours, so the roads were kind of shitty. The plows do a pretty good job, but they can only be so many places at once

But why everyone wanted to be doin 50 km/hr in a 100 zone is beyond me. I was passing them doing 80 and I felt like I was blowing by them.
:witch:

so loads of Hbeamers too, which made it tough in spots, especially the darker parts of the highway
