It has become a cliche, a stoner gets high then starts to question the mysteries of the universe. Do you dismiss these ideas that you have, once you become "sober."
In this thread, if you would please post your high ideas here. Let me know if once the high wore off, if it was still relevent to you.
Recently after consuming my favorite plant I have pondered numbers and radomness.
Is anything really random, or is randomness a human made construct? Due to our lifespan, do we catagorize certain things as random.
Let's take the state lottery as an example.
every week is an independent trial. Every week any number has just as much of a chance to be drawn as any other number. There is no "Memory"
What if you check the lotto numbers every week. For 1 year, would you see a pattern? After a decade? A century. What if you lived long enough to chart the lotto numbers over millions of years? After x amount of time would a pattern emerge? Given enough time couldn't the lottery numbers be picked with as much accuracy as say the weather forcast?
take a fair coin flip. Equal chances of landing on heads or tails. Each flip is an independent trial. BUT!
If you just flip 17 heads in a row, wouldn't you bet that the 18th flip would also land on heads.
Is there a cosmic memory out there some where?
peace
