44 Inches of snow in Michigan?

Has anyone heard this? Someone told me about an e-mail they got that talked about a 44in dump of snow on the upper peninsula of Michigan & how there was a media blackout & no help from F.E.M.A
or any other emergency agencies. Im not some paranoid skeptic, but I'd like to see some pics or hear some stories. I mean, 44 inches . . . what the hell did the snow drifts look like? Snap!

We get a couple 48 inch storms every year, and have had as much as 65 inches over 3 days once. Power went out for 5 days in the big one. No one ever thought about calling FEMA... what are they supposed to do? Bring in a giant blow dryer and melt the stuff???????
We have a generator, and a wood stove. That's about all I need, and I guess if it weren't for my grow I wouldn't even need the generator! Maybe to run the well so we can flush the toilet...!
