Purple Cow Compost

Has anyone had any experience with this?

Basically I am trying to compare this compost to straight bagged (Wiggle Worm brand) EWC. Unfortunately I don't have access to a local seller of fresh compost/EWC, and the bagged products are all I can get.

The purple cow compost looks to be a decent product as it is formulated with composted leaves and alfalfa fiber. More beneficial's such as greensand, rock dust, kelp meal, and they're own vermicompost worm castings are added as well.

My question is can you use this as an amendment in say LC's mix instead of the EWC? And would it be a better product for compost tea?

This may not help,but I met one of the suppliers yesterday of "wiggle worm" brand. I met him on his worm ranch and picked up 3 bags for $45. This is the same local soil I'm raving about in the "Thinking of using local soil" thread.

I just noticed on the website they don't give a whole lot of info about the product, I didn't check out the videos yet though....

Thanks Capt. I have been using the Wiggle Worm on the current grow and everything seems to be working out fine, I guess if it ain't broke then don't fix it. I think the local shop I use charge around 17 bucks for a 36 pound bag.

I really want to start my own worm bin, I just need to look into it more.

There should be no problem with using compost instead of earthworm castings. I don't know about "better" for compost tea, but it'd defo suffice.
