800w + T5 Tent grow

Hey everyone,

My name is medichron, i'm a small time medical gardener working on my second run of plants. I'm flowering 6 plants this time around, and i've majorly upgraded my flowering tent (4x4 mylar lining). It's still being put together, but basically it will be 2 400w HPS lights with air cooled reflectors, a 435 CFM can fan running light exhaust, and a 150cfm squirrel cage fan running exhaust for the tent.

The veg room is a home made tent (4x2.5x7ft) which is housing 150 watts of T5 lights. No real exhaust, i just have a desk fan blowing out the door, but the lights stay cool, so temps are pretty steady, around 70-75 F.

The plants are growing in 4 and 5 gallon buckets filled with FFOF soil. I'm feeding with Botanicare pure blend pro grow and bloom, liquid karma, and cal-mag.

The lineup of plants includes 2 GDP x Skunk (HTC ibl), 1 Durban Poison, 1 Bubblegum, 1 Buddhas Sister (Soma), 1 G13xHaze cross (came in mix pack, unknown mother). All of the plants came from clone, some from friends, and some from dispensaries. Both the GDP x Skunks, and the G13xHaze are cuttings from plants that were grown from seed.

What's up everyone, just ordered up a 400w MH conversion bulb, so I'll be running 400w of HPS in my big reflector, and 400w of MH in my smaller reflector! I've heard great things about running mixed spectrum, so i decided to give it a shot.

I was also thinking of putting my girls on an 18 - 6 light schedule for there first week under the HPS/MH setup. Does anyone know if this has any real benefit, or should I just go straight to 12-12? I figured it would help them adjust to the new lighting schedule, and possibly minimize any shock experienced in the transition between veg. and bloom.

By the way, one of my friends just gifted me with 10 seedlings that he didn't have room for, the strain is Super Silver Triesel Haze!! The seeds were bought off of the bay recently (I think they came from buffoonman). Really stoked for these, I'll get some pics up soon.

Hey everyone,

Just recently finished piecing together my tent recently, so i figured i'd post up a picture to show everyone what i'll be working with.

Also wondering what everyone's opinion on CO2 is? Should I even bother with it? I need a new regulator and tank, so i'm contemplating if it is even worth the investment. My tent is not completely sealed, and i'd be alternating CO2 and exhaust, so alot would be wasted.

Just got an update on the g13 haze (which i thought was crossed with LA Confidential). OJD himself looked at the pictures of the plant that my clone came from (just harvested), and his guess was that it is actually Gangsta Haze (G13 Haze x OG Kush Bx1)!!!! I'm so excited to hear that this plant is actually Gangsta Haze!

Thanks OJD for making this epic cross, can't wait till mine is ready to smoke!

Hey everyone, another update on the grow, one of my buddies had a few extra GDP Skunk clones that are already about a foot and a half tall which he decided he wanted to give me. I figured i still had some room in my flower tent, so i just tossed them in the corners which are still getting a good amount of light. So now the flowering tent is packed full with 9 ladies, its gonna be a jungle in there the next few weeks !

Hey everyone, time for an update. Its day 20 of flowering and everything is going fairly well, i feel like the stretch is going slow, and i'm having some problems with deficiencies/ plant diseases (dont really know whats wrong)...but the buds are coming along nicely. I just added Botanicare Sweet Citrus to my feeding regiment.

I've tried alot of things to correct this problem (flushing, checking ph and runoff 6.3ish, feeding more, feeding less) but it just doesn't seem to go away. Only some plants are affected. My only guess is that they have been under watered a few times when i left my roommate to take care of them, and that they got stressed out. The problem only exists on the bottom leaves of the plants. BTW, i only use RO water, and use 5ml/gal. of cal mag every time. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know.

also, I think somebody lied to you about your bubblegum... everything I've read is that it's almost always >80% indica but yours looks like it's barely got 10%. maybe you got a crazy pheno of some kind

Is that problem occurring generally on lower, older leaves? I had something that looked kind of similar once and it turned out that I just splashed a bit of nute solution on the leaves when feeding and it burned them.

Hey man, I actually don't have tangerine haze...it turned out to be gangster haze, which is G13 Haze x OG Kush Bx1. My friend grew out one of OJD's G13 Haze mix packs, and i got a clone from him. We weren't sure until we smoked it, that it was the gangster haze, once we broke some up it was obvious that it had some OG in it.

As far as the bubblegum goes, you could be totally right about it not being legitimate, i bought it from a dispensary, and they said it was the same as the bubblegum they had in stock (which was amazing, and definitely had the bubblegum smell/taste). Its coming along great for 25 days of bloom, and it seems to have a bubblegum like smell when u rub the leaves. I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

As far as the dead leaves, they are only happening on the bottom of the plant, except for on one plant. I don't think i splashed anything on them so, i can probably rule that out. I have had a good amount of deficiencies while growing in soil and i am never good at figuring out what the problem really is. I've been checking ph and runoff ph and all has been good, and they are definately getting the nutes they need...so who knows.

I'm really thinking of switching to a Bio-bucket system for the next run, one of my friends uses one of these systems, and he gets insane results, and he claims that it is way easier to maintain than a soil garden. I also like the look of those hempy buckets.
