hey i'm just about to start my first grow and i'm gonna be growing ak 48 too. all the pics are awesome man! hope mine turn out just as good. what kinds of lights did you use if you dont mind me asking? i have a 400 watt hps and am kinda on the fence about whether i should get some fluorescent lights to help with the seedlings or whether i can get away with just using the hps lamp

Buick those babies are looking good. Should be done in another 4 weeks? Does AK48 take longer to flower than AK47? I don't grow the pure anymore (doing crosses though!) and was just wondering. Power? Medical efficacy? These are some considerations as to what will be in the box on the next round... Great looking grow!

Well I'd say that depends on your particular grow setup, how much room do you have, temps, how much veg time, and budget. I've found that with cool white fluorescents you get shorter internodal spacing. The only problem with fluors is the lack of deep penetration. That sounded dirty. I used a 250 watt MH for these plants and you see how bushy they are.

To keep it simple yes you can go start to finish with your 400 watter, but you will get better results using fluors in the 4000K-5500K area for young seedlings and small veging plants. Hope this helps.

I've never grown out any of the AK's befor, but I've heard great things about them. I'm looking for pain relief from this baby. She looks like she should be done in 9 weeks. I also have some Strawberry Cough but that's more for the head.

thanks for the advice i bought a fluorescent light as an auxiliary to the hps in order to help with the seedlings. the fluoro is something like 1200 lumens which isn't a lot but from what i hear it'll be enough for the seedlings considering the space i'm using is approx. 2 x 2.5 feet and to the ceiling. also to answer your questions about temp and veg time: theres a fan and fresh air so the temp should stay at a relatively cool room temperature level. Also I was planning on doing a 24/7 veg because i've heard it creates more foliage and i figure that when combined with the short internodal spacing you were talking about might potentially lead to more buds (no idea if that'll work, again its my first time haha). if theres anything im not doing right or anything i can do to streamline my grow i'd love any advice you could offer.

hey buick. i just started choppin mine. heres a pic of a branch i cut. @ 52 dayz im pretty happy w/ her. alot of milky trichs, which is ok, i dig the energetic lift and the head high. i hope yours turn awesome

Thanks for stopin by guys. Well my camera batteries died so no update today. I'll try to pick some up soon. I'm realy surprised at how far along she looks for 6 weeks, alot of red pistils. I'm hoping the swell starts soon because there's not much weight on them there branches.

7 weeks flowering and the swell has started. But there is not one single amber trich on this plant yet. Actually there mostly still clear, about 2/3 clear and 1/3 cloudy. I was planing on going 9 but if this shit doesn't hurry up it'll be more like 10 or 11.

Buick you seem to have some "clawing" on a few of your pics, is this normal so far into flower? I have 3 ak48s in reveg, actually went into flower the 5th 0f last month, and one is acting like your clawing one, i don''t feed mine, i try and find the right soil mixture, maybe there is too much nitro in mine.
