no, do not use it. you need 35% food grade h202. use @ 1.6 ml/l every 2-3 days in your res, d

Overkill is under-rated.

The 3% works fine, you just need more of it per gallon of res water. I agree 35% is nice because it's more concentrated, but it's also very dangerous stuff to work with since it's such a strong oxidizer. I use 2ml per gallon of the 35% in the res 1-2 times a week, right before a flood cycle.

LMAO @ "Food grade h202"... as if its any different!

Like lazyman said, any peroxide will work. If you are using 3%, just use 12x the amount of 35% you would have used. I vastly prefer the 3% because you can use it for cleaning right out of the bottle... whereas the 35 will oxidize the shit out of your skin and turn you white if you get any on you.

It allows you to keep your res fresh (oxygenated), and helps with bacteria in reservoirs.... and yes, it can be used in all mediums.

what benefits do you get from using this? and can it be used in all mediums like coco etc

Also used in the treatment of root rot. hydrogen peroxide is h2o2 so its just a water molecule with an extra oxygen on the atom. Used in a lot of hydro systems and yes can be used on anything.

So all you need to grow good plants is h2o2? Where is this
tutorial? I need to learn your ways oh wise one.

To the OP- the h2o2 your using has many different stabilizers that
may not be good for your plants. Here is the MSDS for Clairoxide
30 and 40 volume(9% and 12% h2o2 respectively). Notice all the
additives, I doubt Walmart's brand is going to be better. For
sterilization I use the Clairoxide because it is a lot cheaper than
what I can get food grade for. h202 is not critical for a grow. I
would not add it to my plants, I'd aerate the water before that.

I'll second this info.... Though I use H2O2 from the local beauty supply because it's cheap.

Just tell them your mother is asking for 'Clear' 40 developer. It's about $7 a quart and is 40% H2O2 by volume. :D

Thats really what i was worried about. If it was 3 percent h2o2 what was the other makeup of the product. Sure mostly water or something but some other steralizers and who knows what else. I have actually already used it just in a pure water mix and light proofed the base (which was the problem) and it solved the problem. I saw new growth almost immediately. I have since put them into coco pots for flower.
