Light burn? Nut Burn? lockout?

Glockengold: Apology rendered here. Yeah there are a lot of these antagonisms between nutrients. And you're right - High Ca and Mg in tapwater can slow down iron, K, B, Mg. (the main reason for this is because the pH of water high in Ca is high. Like mine which is over 8.) pHing to proper levels will keep excess Ca from being available in excess. also- Mg will be restricted below 5.4 pH.

I'm sure my tap water is higher ppm than 500. Most around here is 800+. And I don't get that going on.
I use hardwater micro from GH.

Anyway, since you're going with RO water and cal mag you should see improvement?

I think the main thing was a k def., but it's hard to tell, so many symptoms overlap in appearance. good pH won't necessarily help a K def. It's hard to know what nutes get taken up from your res and in what % to cause this trouble.

Hugeblunts~ iron defs show in the top leaves first.

Hazy~

The best way to find the best solutions is by discussing your own experiences and opinions. Thats how we learn basically..

I also got a PH above 8, but brings it down with my nutrients. Got some serious Cal excess but it hasn´t effected my grow at all. Pulled my ICE yesterday and got about 800 grams of fresh bud.. so high Cal doesn´t mean Mag or other nutrient lockouts automatically.. but it can in some cases. Maybe hand in hand with other problems like overfeedig, other high values in the water like Iron and so on... I once had rusty pipes in a house of mine, and they got me in some serious trouble.

Hope everything goes well.

peace!

I think your light placement caused the def. I think that when you have a high lumen bulb too close to the plant, it is difficult for the plant to assimilate all the nutes needed to keep up with the amount of usable light. Try raising them a bit more for a few days to see if the the reduction of usable light will allow your plants to play a bit of catch up, before you start throwing more nutes at them.

OK guys i THINK i fixed that other problem (Thanks a TON) but i'm getting a new one here
Looks like nute burn in combination with lights to close (AGAIN!!!)

Might have a small issue with Thrips not 100% sure

please keep in mind i run the same nutrients in a AEROFLO with no issues at all although i use a 600W instead

Again

Again

OK i had to wipe out the crop after this one.
Please help me out here as i can not figure it out I have had some one check it out that has mucho experience and he is stumped too.

Here is what i know so far

1) happens in 3rd week like clockwork
2) seems random in how the leaves get affected (doesn't start at bottom or top and progress) so this is making me think that it may not be a nutrient diff.
3) My humidity is in excess of 60% after the lights go off. could it be possible that the plants are unable to transpire enough water to get the nutrients they need due to humidity??
4) room is sealed i do not think much (its getting some) fresh air is getting in there.
5) roots are WHITE as can be i have used beneficial bacteria.
6) this is an ebb and grow system I previously have 0 experience with ebb and flow

could this be caused by lack of fresh air or maybe i need to flush every week ???

Help help :dunno::wallbash:

ya dont learn anything if you scrap it out. Should have kept it running. I dont run hydro but a flush and new nutrients probably would have worked wonders. I would guess it was ph related or lacking K.

I see you are running a sealed room, but I didn't see mention of Co2 enrichment. Are you using co2? Not sure if this has anything to do with your problem tho.

no i am not running co2 at all

I had to scrap the last run cuz someone (not me) had the bright idea to flood every hour for 15min and rotted out the roots so yea it had to go.

Anyhow things here looked great roots still china white aned past few days gone downhill. Happened really fast after last rez change could it be over fertilization? to much light for the nutes im giving them to humid?? Humidity seems to be going up as the plants get larger. Im so at a loss I have same nutes running in an aeroflo in a tent and those are kicking ass...
