I believe this would be a good read for you.

I bought the audio cd. It's a scientific explanation of how the way we think effects the world around us. The science of perception if you will. Toxic thinking is harmful. It's not some hokey deal either. I find the arguments compelling.

I remember a time Billy when I Fu*ked my life up good and proper. Honestly in my own situation then, I had messed up my relationships with my family, my girlfriend at the time & pretty much every other thing in my life. Crossed my own lines, threw out my morals and beliefs. After that, I lost my freedom for a substantial amount of time & finally I realized after continuously beating my head against the wall that I had to start cleaning my "internal" house up before I could even begin to pick things up. I started by listing on paper all of my good qualities, bad qualities and all the awful things that I had done to my friends, family & self so that I could see it all with my own eyes. When you've got your inner child and spirit laid out on paper, it makes things a little more clear. When you begin to acknowledge the qualities about yourself, the good & bad, you can begin to piece back in the good things that make up you & shed all the nasties that have clouded your vision & plagued your life for so long. I believe you will find the right path. Good luck.

I find advice for these kinds of things garners temporary reassurance, but ultimately it's useless big-picture.

Relying on vague one-liners and redundant cliche's is the moral philosophy losers tend to use, as it helps to wash away the need to think hard about each unique situation.

There is no pointed philosophy, or perspective, you're missing out on. It just feels that way when you fuck up a lot and it comes crashing together in one big crescendo.

If you tell us roughly what the situation is, I'm sure some of us will be more able to help you. But if you give vague euphemisms, that's all that can really be returned to you.

Go volunteer somewhere where you'll see less fortunate. Really changes your perspective on things. You'll also feel amazing doing something for others as well.
