Right time to harvest, morning or night?

I've read somewhere, that there is a correct time to cut down my girls, is this true? If this is so, then when is the correct time? Ready to do it tonight, but thought I'd ask and see if anyone responds in time for me tonight? btw, these are the Alaskan ice girls and had no real problem with her, a very beautiful girl. Thanks in advance

About Curing, what do people suggest about how long to cure? Weeks or months?

I was thinking of 2-4 week cure, but I think it will jus depend, right?

The reason you want to harvest after a prolonged dark period is because the plant stores its startches and carbs in the stems and roots overnight... they taste bad.

Also the trichomes replenish their THC during dark.

Thanks for the link, I forgot that was here too. Also if I understand correctly, I should cut them down, jus before the lights come on? How long is a prolonged dark period, 5-6 hours, or more?

Really, cuz I read somewhere in here, that should have the job done before the time the lights would normally come on. How would this work out if you have a dark period that long? I have other strains that are not ready yet, so I can't go that long with lights off, right? Thanks for all the input, keep it comin if you don't mind?

12 hrs is fine.

48 constitutes elongated darkness....

The worst thing you can do is overthink something.

If that is so, you really should do a grow report here on it. The positive needs to be heard along with the negative.

Hands down, Alaskan Ice seems to be the most problematic strain to grow according to most of the posters on ICM. No strain gets as many anecdotal complaints.

It would be nice to hear a positive view for a change.

Curing is similar to keeping a bottle of wine. The longer the wait the better as long as it's kept in the right environment.

I strip all the fan leaves the last morning and really stress them out, then at lights out keep them off 24hrs. Cannabis seems to produce more resin when stressed at the end.you get rid of a lot of the plant's nutrients as well when you strip it so they really have room to pack away all the nutes/carbs they pull from the buds. Then I chop um and hang em.Good luck and have fun...oh and post some pics I'd love to see these girls.

Yes I will, give a lil time I'm still new at this, but I do plan on getn ip some pix. I have some pix in my albums, under hempy, they are from about 4 weeks flowering.

Now, I do have to say, I did have few problems with her. The problems we not ever too serious. It seemed I always had someone on here to help me out, so I'm saying I didn't do it by myself, thanks to all that helped. Btw, it's not official yet, but it looks like I might get 3ozs. On one of them only! No too bad for first time, right!
