What's new

if you make bail...leaving the country...

If I get popped with a garden I can't do the time for, what are my options?

well, if your already talking about how you can't do the time. it's evident what your gonna do when you do get your dumb ass caught. best advice anyone can give you is to be realistic with yourself you have no business trying to do anything illegal. wake up stop trying to be something your not. go back to school and get a good job. your well on your way to being a snitch, pump your brakes.

Most people don't realize how hard it is to run off. Most people don't have friends outside of there everyday circle of friends.

You run, all these friendships are over, and most of these people would not help you anyway, or they might end up on the run also.

you would have to start a new life, not easy.

and then you would probably get caught anyway, even if you did get away, you would always be looking for the hammer to drop, ruining whatever life you had put together.

But. Freedom is priceless. worth every hassle.

Id go to an Island with Pirates and become a Pirate, thats your best bet for survival from home country kidnappings.

Q

quest

#1. After being bonded, DO NOT do anything to give cause to have your bond pulled.
#2. Get a court appointed attorney or Federal Public Defender.

A case in which someone is facing that much time, will take a lot of time to wind through the system.

I had a drunk driving misdemeanor that I stretched out for over three years (with 6 different public defenders), until I offered them $1,000 to get the case over. The drunk driving was dismissed.

I had a drug case that had taken over 5 1/2 years just to get to an Appeals court to decide one issue. If I wanted, I am sure that case could still be going on. ( It was arrested over twenty five years ago).

By the time your case finally is over, they will hopefully have found bigger fish to fry, or maybe the law that you aledgedly broke no longer exists.

If all of this fails, a large, far away english speaking country would be nice, Australia looks good from that list.

Australia was under the list of British Commonwealth so that wouldn't work, you would be better off picking a country like Vietnam.

Naw, I just kill the thirteenth seed and remain compliant under my State's Laws.
Then I also work to change the laws which are not properly constructed, making improvements along the way.

If you aren't working to change the laws, then you shouldn't bitch when confronted with this situation.

I still say, sue the Federal government, mandating they hold tobacco equal under the law to marijuana or, change the laws pertaining to marijuana to reflect the same legality as tobacco.
Nobody is willing to step up and challenge the government so, nobody should complain.
The two arguments you just made have absolutely nothing to do with one another on any conceivable level whatsoever. I've got love for you dude but either you're high as giraffe pussy or you need to go to bed.
He means if you got busted for a grow & are looking at 20 to life you must have talked your way into some deep shit, rather than talk your way out of it. (dont mean to be nosey but how do are you looking at 20 to life for growing?
Either it must have been a big grow or you had 3 dead bodies on the furtilizer pile!
TBH you just need to man up & do the time, you wont be the 1st person to go to jail for 20+ years. Where ever you go if you choose to jump bail you will always belooking over your shoulder & unless you have a few million in cash you will find it hard to survive. I mean, how much would you say you spend a year to live? Rent, food, weed, bills, car whatever. Now try to think how you would pay for everything working with no ID, you would only be able to get cash in hand work or have to do dodgy stuff to get buy. Where would you live? Where would you get your weesd from?
Dont mean to sound harsh but these are just things you have to think about. I thought of jumping bail & going to live in Amsterdam or Spain last year on a production charge in the UK (production is the next charge up from cultivation in the UK) as i thought i was going to jail, but after coming up with an amazing defence plan (with no help from my brief) i didnt go down.

The UK dont have extridite to the US as they have the death penalty, if you can get over here with a bit of cash i can set you up with a place to live & a bit of work.
I was just saying theoretically. My nose is clean.
Hell, I say it's cowardly to wait until you're charged to make your stand in front of a jury. Owl Mirror, it's time to put your money where your mouth is. Turn yourself in and show us you're a man!

I'd volunteer, but I have no problem with people thinking or calling me a coward. I just don't want them to think me a moron.
This. How one can be so intellectually sloppy as to somehow confuse bypassing a ridiculous prison sentence as cowardice, well, it explains a lot.

I pose a theoretical question for fun and the sake of discussion, and you call me a dumb ass, imply I'm a would-be snitch, and tell me to stop growing.

Nice to meet you too, capital g. Enjoy your stay here!

That's hardly true, if you know it's what you have to do. No, your friendships aren't over... there is an internet, and people do travel. People WILL help you, friends, especially family. There IS Western Union, for example.

If you're lucky enough to only be at a state level, you could leave the country, and STILL be able to renew your passport at an embassy without fear (do it through the mail, if you can). In most countries, you'd be able to pick up citizenship after ten years, without them finding out about your case.

I meet a couple people like this every month. If you had the balls (and the cash) to outright disappear, chances are you'll make it. This does happen everyday. Think indirect-third country, land routes and places where you don't need a visa for short (less than three month) stays.

Forget about your professional qualifications, unless you already have certificates in your destination.

Plan to work hard. Unless you've got lots of money. Then you have to find a partner you can trust.

You just have to go someplace where you look like the locals, and you can forget about speaking or reading english, unless you plan to teach it.

I'll just say this: If the wrong people came for me at work, I have the swiss seat all made up, and the clips and rope for five fast stories... old student loans and all...

dood, the average age here is probably around 19
they're just babies until around 33
ask a stupid question...get a stupid answer

Yeah, I forget that fact some times.
I'm used to conversing with adults, not children with dreams of an anarchist utopia.
I really fear for the future, if these are examples of the next generation.

no "dreams" for an anarchist utopia, im just prepared for it if shit happens because its possible.

and yea sometimes us younger heads get really fed up with the way life is working, how we are born into a lifestyle where we are supposed to go get jobs and start families, when most of us just want to party and live life like we wanna.

they just did a study saying that modern day teens have way more problems with authority, depression, etc, etc.
im not a teenager im 23, but i can definately see how my current mindset was shaped when i was in high school, drugs, parties, run-ins with the law, it makes me a person today that really contributes nothing to society except the beautiful plant MJ.

anarchist utopia = " ... get jobs and start families, when most of us just want to party and live life like we wanna"- "contributes nothing to society"

I'm speechless

Synopsis: A few very angry older guys lack of reading comprehension skills leads to a poorly constructed argument- amongst themselves, as they manufactured their own controversy via poor reading- all closed and wrapped up in a mean-spirited generational attack.

conclusion: Talk about bongs and blunts here, nothing heavy.

How a thread like this can turn into such vitriol and personal attacks is amazing to me. I ask an interesting hypothetical(relative to the occupation of many here) and a few dopes with poor reading skills and self-hatred come in and ruin the party.

I'm not into bans, but if I was, I'd suggest some mods do some reading in this thread.

If i got busted doing a big 1 and was looking at anything like 6+ id leave. Anything under that just think of it like its a job. How much have you made divide it by how many years your serving and thats how much your geting a year it would just make it abit easier u know?

But ye fuck going to prison id probably end up in costa del sol sipping sangrias with all the bank robbers hahaha
