Outstanding! Congratulations! Children are what it is all about. I didn't have any of my own, but my wife brought 4 from a previous marriage, we adopted 2 and fostered 3 or 4 strays.

Where they come from doesn't matter; who you help them become is the whole deal. They are only the way they are today and you have to remember that today will never, ever happen again so every single moment is precious. Every event is a joy. From the peanut butter smeared on the counter to the tracks of the cleats through the house and the junky rooms, it's all a blessing and you are there to be part of it.

Every single bit of it is the most precious thing you will ever experience. If you go into it with this attitude, your parenting experience will indeed have more blessings and bounty than problems and grief.

I am sooooo jealous. I am just goofy when it comes to kids. I have 11 grandkids now and I never get to be part of their lives as much as I want. You are right there in the trenches and enjoying every moment of it.

Lucky schmuck!
