Fruity's 2 X 400W hps, Multi Strain, Grow Tent

Looking good fruity I have two 400w light one MH and one HPS i have a 3x3x6.5 tent with the only the 400MH vegging 5 plants during the day, as it is winter my temps in tent never go over 80 and im near san diego. For flower i was thinking of adding the HPS in the tent to add more light and a broader spectrum. AS of now i only have an oscillating fan pushing air around and i keep the top of my tent slightly unzipped to allow hot air to push out. During the summer i test ran my setup and the temps were around 88 which was too hot for my liking. So i bought a 6" inline fan with 350cfm runs kind of loud but not really concered about the noise. You have two 400w going at the same time and your temp is what 84. I think that is about as hot as i would allow my plants to take. So the hood i got running is a 6" air cooled the HPS is not air cooled like the winged reflector. Im hoping my temps wont run ove 80 with the two lights running and the inline fan exhausting the hot airout the top with a passive vent below think i will be safe? maybe not in summer

I only have a passive exhaust, I wish I had the balls to buy a portable AC unit. I'm running 2 250's, so I'm kinda in the same boat.

Sorry, I was thinking about a cool tube. Having the exhaust and the intake come from different places.
But yes, mine is definitely negative air pressure.
looks nice. i run 2 600w cooltubes in my 4x4x6.5 tent. pics in gallery. cant wait to see buds.i need money for another fan and ducting. for fresh air i open it up a crack LOL.

okay well im a little behind you but ive got a question
i had my light(mh with no glass just bare) about 9 10 inches from closest bud(after bending to avoid burning
i raised the light about an inch (my lights not easy to move)
so its about a foot below now
i want to avoid burning but i want them to have healthy ample light and not weak light
theyre soo crystally i am trying not to screw them up now

Damn I forgot about this thread, harvest was rite around X-Mas everything is dried and curing, final weight was a few O's under my target 16, I think I would of yielded over my target if 3 of the 5 FCJ main colas didnt get bud rot 2 weeks before harvest.

Why are you running 2 250 CFM fans, and using passive exhaust bro the only reason I ever go passive for my intake is to cut back from buying two fans. If I had 2 250's 1 would be on intake and one on out, thanks for reminding me I need to buy a another fan!

haha my tent looked a lot similar, i think all the negative pressure must take away some of the growing area, not to mention makes the walls not flat white, hmm time for another fan.....

Thanks, man I wish I could run 2 600s or a 1000 I think would be a nice fit for my tent but for now ill work with what I got.
yeah I think its time I got and get some more ducting and a new fan also.

Youll know when they are burned the buds will dry out and turn brown or somethin.
If their still green and growing nice without any heat damage you should be good as long as the flowering girls arnt stretching any more.
Oh and get anther fan and put it under the light and above the buds some air movement will help.

true that
i just got some withered hairs just slightly on a couple buds
but i can tell
and have some undiagnosed lockout on one plant all the leaves look like they burnt and are dieing and the plant is generally alot yellower the buds look like thell survive but might ginish up sooner
i think its cause shes been in the same tiny pot fo so long

haha my bad I deleted my harvest pics before I could upload them here I did get them uploaded to another forum though.
Well the bud rot started to bug me out to much so I harvest a few of the plants before I would of liked but still good smoke!!
I added another fan so no more passive intake, works good other then seems to be blowing peat moss all over the leafs and stuff, any suggestions?
I already have some of the Fruity Chronic Juice pics uploaded, ill take some more of Moby Dick, & Amnesia Lemon later. Also ill update with some vegging pics soon also.
