Humble, you really know how to grow a nugget. And, take great pictures of it. As for your standup act, I dunno dude, you might want to keep your day job...just kidding, bro. You either have incredibly steady hands or a lightning fast shutter speed, cause those are some clear shots.

Fabulous resin production subrob, nicely done. Beautiful blonde hash nata. I make bubble every 25 days and i'll tell ya what I do to really boost quality. right after all the buds are trimmed and I have a paper grocery bag full of leaf, I roll it up in the bag and freeze it immediatly and wait 24 hours. I then get a good size cooler and ice down 4 or 5 gallons of ro water (for a 5 gallon bag run) and get it martini cold. the cooler should have a plug for the drain hole that is attached instead of the screw on variety thats sprays too much water when you try to plug the drain hole with water still in the cooler (I do runs in my small kitchen so this feature is important but outdoors not so much) I put the ice water in the bucket with the bags and fill it with icy water from the cooler till its 3 or 4 inches above the bottom of the blue first bag. I then add my frozen leaf and icy water from the cooler til it's full then add a small top dressing of ice. wait ten minutes and then the most important part....put on some long rubber gloves and agitate(sp?) the leaf with claw shaped hands, being careful not to rip or tear the leaf during mixing, til it foams up nicley, maybe 40 -60 seconds, then stop. wait 15 min, reach underneath the mound of floating mj and rotate the bottom to the top and mix, do it again. then one more time. after 45 min to an hour hang the first three bags with a rope and pulley and let it drip til it mostly stops dripping, maybe 10 min. then scrape. The pulley is essential because it saves you the time of standing there waiting for the bags to drain and u eliminate the frustration of waiting and then impatiently bouncing your bags to drain them, pushing debris into your hash that should be caught by the bags

After pulling all the bags you still have some some really clean mj water left in the bucket. It should look blondish and not green. Since resin falls when chilled in water, take a sauce pan and remove the top third of the water in the bucket then pour the remaining bucket water back into the cooler to use on the next new leaf run to catch anything still in the water. The amount of leaf I get fills a trader joes paper bag which is enough for 2 fresh leaf bubble runs. After I do the 1st batch of leaf I use the water from the first with a little fresh water to chill the 2nd fresh leaf batch. You catch more resin this way. After 2 rinses, I usually toss the twice used water in favor of fresh ro I use on the 2nd soaking, and I can use both previous fresh batches to make one big 2nd run cuz the leaf is already wet.

This method is a bigger pain in the ass than mixing with the drill and drywall bit but damn, I usually have to freeze the hash to remove it from the pressing screen, it's soft and very hard to handle without sticking to your fingers like glue, if that happens then u know you've done it right :) What happens during hash making is if you over mix, you get a lot back but inferior quality. I'm all about quality smoke so I do it the way I just described and I don't get a big yield, but I do get the besyt quality I can make and that's what I'm after :D I want to add that it's VERY important to freeze your leaf in a paper grocery bag(I love trader joes bags) because if you freeze trim in a plastic bag you will get green hash that doesn't taste or come out nearly as well, so remember, paper grocery bags are essential for freezing trim w/o damage. I've bought hash several times at dispensaries around town, $45 a gram sour d, gdp, etc and hash made with this method blows every dispensary hash Ive had right off the face of the earth. no comparison whatsoever, and that's not hubris talkin cuz I'm 100%confident you'll find it out for yourselves when ya try it :)

To give myself a little more bucket space to work with I buy 2 five gallon orange home depot buckets and cut the top 11 inches off of one and put it on top of the other and seal it so I have a 5 gallon bucket with a couple extra inches of height and that allows the bags to hang independentlyof each other and give me a little extra space for more leaf. i found a regular 5 gallon bucket bunches up the screens on the bottom but and extra tall 5 gallon bucket pulls the screen of the last bag off the bottom of the bucket and allows nice separation of all 7 screens. I actually don't bother with the last purple bag, takes to long to drain and the hash seems to be worse than the white, yellow or orange bags, don't know why:/ but it's less bags to rinse off and dry and that's a plus.

Here's another treat I learned that's wonderful for joints....After scraping the bag of hash sludge, I take a rolling paper and dip it on the bottom of the bag til it soaks up to the sticky part, then stick the paper to the side of a spaghetti collander to dry. When it dries, roll a joint with it and it will burn exquisitly slow and evenly and add some octane to the doob. biglove rolling papers :) enjoy.

My beautiful stoner galpals all love the bubble and its really great for a toke and a bike ride along the bay. I love the level of stone from this stuff, really takes you to the 10th floor and makes colors more vivid. I remember vaping cali orange outdoor bubble and a bunch of us getting on bikes and riding along bayside walk at night. The bay was glassy which made every light elongated and it looked like the bay was decorated with beautiful colorful spikes of light, just gorgeous with a bubble high.

Peace to all,

BL

I have to re-read this when i'm not so medicated but K+ for now, thanks. I would love to improve yield without sacrificing quality. ( i only pulled 6 really good grams - 4 25 microns, 2 76 mics of 108 grams of trim)

Next time i will freeze right away. I had this stuff chilling in a paper bag for a few weeks. i need to get my bubble act together.

Sick SFV Humble. Those pyramid shaped buds look just like one i have in my favorite jar. (i got my cut from the SD PNC in a RR)

so will i ^^ ! nice post big ! thanks much.

MOLDYDREADS: i've also ran two different sour d's an one finished at about nine, super stanky. an the other went 13...which was like smoking oil. i've noticed multiple phenos as well...one being indica dom an the other sativa....

vegging a few now, i've always noticed 11 to be killer.. i wonder what a 13 weeker would do? :dance013:

Are you saying all Sour Diesel plants will only finish well at week 11?
I've seen different Sour D finish at different times, and while some do go 11, not all do turn out best at 11. Just saying, I grew Reservoir V2.5, V3 and IBL and had a few longer females, a few hermis I scrapped, but one pheno did turn out excellent at week 8 and 9. 11 was too much for her, she got fluffier and the trichs popped by week 11, what are you basing that off? a clone?

Moldy Dreads, morning! and morning everybody on sdfc's! just cut ECSD at 76 days. yeah based on a clone. glad you had a 8-9 weeker from rez. ask how long he likes the original he first started with taken i guess. as stated, only my opinon.

I ran Rez's Diesels on OG and he recommended at least 80 days on what I was posting; but i couldnt take and shot my load at 70. She was just stinking too much and carbon wasn't gettin it.

I guess in the end, maintaining a healthy germplasm is essential to the long term stability and transfer of traits as we all are starting to see a weakening in the old diesel lines and great cross outs still come from the Resevoir.

Bubblebag note

Oh yeah; when you see foaming in your working bag or ice bucket its because plant protiens are breaking down through a process called fractionation. For better quality FMD , you should minimize the amount of breakdown by not using drill motors or aggressive mixing/agitating devices.

I like to take tall 7gl buckets (you gotta shave em or ruin your bags) w/ no bags and mix in there (working bucket). Then pour carefully through the rest.

lessons learned for me... SHoulda bought the 20 gal bags

I hear ya on the 20 gallon bags bb. it would make it a lot easier to do my leaf all at once but I live in a tiny apartment and with the method I use, it's impractical working with bags that big and having a cooler that large to ice down enuf water to fill it. By icing down the water before it goes in the bucket, it allows me to use less ice in the buckets and there is more room for resin to fall.

I try to make hash that is as close to scissor hash as I can get and mixing by hand with ro water and ro ice with the method I described gets me as close as I can get to that exquisite flavor. I wish you guys could all try vaping outdoor california orange blonde bubble, it tastes like orange peels on the exhale and gives you that "Godammit it's great to be alive!" feeling.

How's it going SD folks! Gotta quick question, i just picked up some sd bullrider at a local dispensary. This one was lable as an indica. Is there 2 pheno of the clone only sd bullrider? One indica and one sativa? By the way this is not the afghani bullrider that im talking about.

just to remind everyone that tonight is The first episode of “Cannabis Planet” on cox channel 14...

A TV show dedicated to the promotion of medical marijuana — complete with plant cultivation tips and cannabis cooking lessons — will debut in San Diego tonight.

The first episode of “Cannabis Planet” includes a segment critical of the raids carried out against local dispensaries last fall.

“We’re fighting for safe and legal access for the medical cannabis community,” said Brad Lane, the show’s creator and executive producer. “In San Diego, there’s been some draconian measures by law enforcement officials against the cannabis community. We feel San Diego is more of a hot spot.”

Officials with the San Diego District Attorney’s Office, which has been prosecuting dispensary operators linked to the raids, say they are in support of medical marijuana, just not illegal drug trafficking.

“Nobody in law enforcement is targeting legitimate medical marijuana users,” said Paul Levikow, spokesman for the DA’s office. “People arrested and charged with illegal drug-dealing have, by and large, pleaded guilty to their crimes.”

Lane, who has been using marijuana daily for 28 years to cope with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, sees the show as a way to inform the masses about the plant’s merits. In addition to its medical benefits, Lane said, hemp is a food source with healthy omega-3 fats, and has many industrial applications, such as a material for home construction and auto parts.

“As an industrial product, hemp can save our planet,” said Lane, 46, of Sunset Beach.

His show has been airing in Los Angeles since July on KJLA-TV, an independent station. The San Diego expansion is part of a plan to bring the show national. Lane is negotiating with stations in San Francisco, Sacramento and Denver to begin airing in those markets by the end of March. In Los Angeles and San Diego, Lane pays for the airtime.

Lane acknowledges the show has an amateur quality. His production company rents studio space in Los Angeles to film each 30-minute show, including the commercials. It will air in San Diego on Fridays and Saturdays at 11 p.m., sandwiched between a Los Angeles newscast and an infomercial. It runs on Cox Cable Channel 14, and will only be available to Cox subscribers in San Diego, the South Bay and East County.

The first 13 episodes airing in San Diego will predominantly feature material that has run in Los Angeles. By April, at least four minutes of each program will feature San Diego subjects.

Lane is hoping the show will help break the perception that marijuana is just for hippies or the terminally ill.

“It’s college-educated people who are responsible members of the community who are using cannabis,” Lane said. “It’s auto mechanics, bankers, lawyers, doctors, schoolteachers. They’re normal people. The more people come out of proverbial cannabis closet, the more we become socially acceptable.”

Some San Diegans, including Marcie Beckett, a Pacific Beach mother of two teenagers, say that’s not the right message to send.

“I won’t let it be watched in my house,” said Beckett, 50. “I think that people underestimate the adverse affects of marijuana, especially on youth.”

http://cannabisplanet.tv/find_tv.html

The show airs every Friday & Saturday at 11:00 p.m. on Cox Channel 14, just after the KTLA news. (Check your local listings & the T.V. Guide.)

I emailed the producer about the show, hopefully they go for my idea to have a streaming video (think youtube style) available on M.M.S.D.com - one of my medical marijuana search engine optimization web sites. I will let you all know what they say.

Ah, they're charging per view? You'd think that at a base advertising expense of $500 per week for 15 seconds that youd be able to afford showing a copy of a tape on the internet..:frown:

bombay, the bullrider from san diego I bought for years is a sativa dominant plant and has a very, very pungent unique smell, and I mean it's prob the stinkiest sack I've ever bought, it kicks up a hell of a lota vapor, tastes great and has a hell of a mule kick, one hit weed for damn sure. I've tried the afi br, and after smoking both, pure br blows it away.

We actually supposedly got the clone from a dispensary here, the plant had some nice buds at the tail end of the outdoor season that were nice but tasted nothing like the br I remember buying all those years so maybe what we have isn't really br I dunno, we are doing a proper indoor run with her now to see what kinda plant we have.

have fun tokin it, BL

Sativa? Really? Every time that I've had Bull Rider in San Diego its been a heavy hitting indica that typically puts everyone to sleep well within an hour. :smokeit:

heya voodoo, the real br is supposed to take 70+ days to flower. Hell, what was purported to be br to me all those years coulda been sumthing else for all I know but I'm just relating my exp for what it's worth.

What an amazing sack tho. Best looking quarters I've EVER seen, the bag looked huge and if you has some in a jar and took the lid off man, I've never been hit with such a strong blast of mj smell in my life, a freaky combination of skunky/fruity that's really difficult to describe, but extremely pleasurable to the ol sniffer, and gave a incredible mule kick with it. fan-f**king-tastic herb, i miss it :(

I saw a pic of br on weed city maps of bullrider and tried saving it to my gallery w/o success but I somehow dragged the pic onto my desktop accidently while in the process of saving it and I have 8 br nugs as my screenshot now, too fing funny if you cud c it!
the pic....is EXACTLY like the br I got in ob all those years, a perfect match and now I know with reasonable certainty that I was indeed getting real br all those years. Wait til you try it in a vaporizer, fan fing tastic.
