you should staple(or hot glue) the drier sheets together with the screen and hot glue them to the box... simplistic and efficient.
Because hot glue sticks to wood very well and can be easily peeled off if you need to change the scented sheets.

Do you have a broom closet around the house? maybe a basement? Just think of what you would use that box for if it wasn't for MJ and what would be in it... and than you can find a place for it in the house.

well i finda feel like the day was wasted. Slept until like Noon cause i couldnt sleep and then i dont feel like what i wanted to accomplish, actually work but i took some picture anyways...

repainted the intake since the drill jacked them up
made a ghetto light trap... more like a reflector.. i guess the good think is it throws the light downward

I Duck tape everything... from broken pencils to holes in the walls which i punch out...

Anyways, it looks good.
What happened to those vent covers?
Little vent hood looks good.. not much after stealth huh?
I would extend the side walls of it to the floor.. so when light is escaping the box, light would hit the back wall and not leak from the sides of the box...get what I'm saying?

Also, do you have some Velcro around the house? i would unscrew that (i think) magnetic door lock thing and replace it with Velcro.
That way, air leaks are took care of, and at the same time, light leaks are also taken care off.

no luck with the job yet but ill keep trying... i looking into CNA grant atm so ill fin out shortly if i am approved...

i still want to buy a couple air vents but felt the need to make a vent until i can get em.

my cab doesnt have a magnet or anything... i basically took a board, screwed some hinges onto it, and it is like a super tight shut. it only really leaks at the hindges amd top of the door. i been trying to find something to tack around the insiide. i think im going to have to cut some 2x4's in skinny pieces on a table saw and tack that if it goes as well as i hope, lmao.

I have been excepted to college for Pharmacy Tech. Certification.
I recieved a call and got my job back from the layoff they had.
Bad part is, i have to cancel my class if i cant sign up for for a different schedule for the class. Good news, Drug test on monday.. woot!

Now i will be able to progress with money comming in...

Bought and applied weather stripping around the door and successfully sealed all leaks..Finally! Still need to work on the Intake, but that ill be a little later when i can get more time.

yep, i found the carbon at walmart and was pretty cheap at only $5 and change. Now i just have a couple small things left to do but non the less it is almost done. I wont be able to actually use the box for a while cause im working on some important things here at home but soon.

What do you mean about keeping the thermometer out of direct light? arent i suppost to read the temps for the upper and lower part of the cab? lol. You have a thread of your stuff so i cant see what you got going on?

If direct light shines on your sensor, it can influence the reading. I was getting crazy temp discrepancies until I shaded, then everything made sense.

Yeah bro I just used a rolled up sheet of white paper for mine or otherwise I just measure the temp above the lights.

it has been a long time since I have made any updates... but i finally got a digital timer that i set on/off times and it keeps the same times without needing to be rest or whatever...

i do have a question however about lightproofing my passive intake...

i have 5x1" holes and i bought 5 pvc elbows (90degrees) and place them inside the cab with the opp hole facing downward... but the light is still leaking through... WHAT GIVES??? what am i doing wrong?

black paint is a good idea but is it going to be enough to stop all the light? i dont need more elbows or is that usually overkill or to resistant?

I used two 90 degree elbows for each hole and made a 180 degree turn with them. They still had light coming through until I painted them flat black on the inside. That fixed the problem. You could easily build a wooden light trap as well. The biggest key to success is to use flat black paint so that the light does not reflect off the walls of your light trap.
