I bought a 7pipe a while ago, which for anyone who doesn’t know is a pipe and lighter in one..but I want to know which liquid cleaners work best for my glass inserts ? I bought some extra glass inserts off their website and I alternate them since I smoke very often (even while I cut down big trees…I’m a logger) I use the Roor bong cleaner now which works pretty good but It needs to soak overnight. Is there any cleaning solution that will work in say 2 hours?:smokeit:

try rubbing alcohol and pipe cleaners and rinse well with water. For bongs I use Epsom salt, rubbing alcohol and shake real well, rinse and repeat if necessary. no need to by expensive bong cleaners.

I buy two pipes. That way while one is soaking in isopropyl, I can partake with the other. This maybe difficult to do with expensive pieces, but i sure love a clean pipe. The taste comes through alot better.

Use alcohol 91% or greater. With your ighter combo the alcohol will be sure to dry COMPLETELY allowing quicker use of your pipe again.

High 90%+ ISO plus kosher (sea) salt. Put both in - shake well - swirl and rinse out.

If your gunk is especially clingy, you can pour boiling hot water in the bong first and let it sit for five minutes. The heat from the water will help dislodge and soften up the resin. The ISO and salt will then do the rest.

DO NOT USE BOILING WATER IN A BONG!!!!!

It will rapidly expand the glass and crack your shit!!! That exact thing happened to my favorite bong that i got as a gift from my wife. hot water from the tap is ok, boiling is not.
nail polish remover(acetone) and minute rice works the best for me. although alcohol and salt work well too.

For my pipes i just let the hot tap water flow into the pipe from all the holes,. it gets it 99% clean which is good enough for me.

yep, nothing works as well as high % (over 60%) isopropyl & and any sort of agitator. dry rice grain, salt, sand, etc all will work. cheapest of the lot is salt. together, the salt/iso is under $3. it is cheap enough to throw away, but strong enough to resuse many times.

I have used boiling water on bongs on countless occasions. Many, many others here on ICM have too.

The problem was not boiling water - the problem was your bong.

huh? whatever. it was in my hand, i saw it,I felt it crack and im not a fucktard. obviously it wasnt a low expnsion glass like pyrex piece, undoubtedly just regular glass and therefore NOT low expansion even more subject to Thermal Expansion. If you dont know what that is and why you dont use boiling water on regular glass here ya go.

basic science yo.
i fucked up,i know but realize it IS very possible.

dont spread the ignorance.

I use an ultrasonic cleaner on my pipes and small bongs. They aren't cheap but they will make them look brand spanking new in minutes. It takes longer for them to dry than clean. They also work great for cleaning many many other things.
