Fox Farm makes beasters

First, I don't think you can compare nutrients to big dick pills. If high quality high priced nutrients didn't work the top growers wouldn't be using them, but most are. Not saying you can't get good results using other stuff.

Second, Miracle grow grown pot tastes bad. I've used it personally and could not get the chemical taste out even w/2 weeks flush. Weight and bag appeal are a lot less important than enjoyability for me and my patients.

agreed, miracle gro will make a plant take off in veg and look healthy as can be, but the end product is no where near what the plant could have been. Look at it like this if you feed a kid nothing but twinkies hes gonna grow. Feed him steak, rice, and broccoli, and hes gonna be healthy. Fox Farm works, but imo it falls in the junkfood category of the cannabis food pyramid

Yeah I was wondering what the deal was with this thread.
FoxFarm does have some non-organic components in their full line, but I got the impression that whoever started this thread was not using the full line. TigerBloom and BigBloom are both fully organic.

I use the full line with great results.
If you're making beasters, it's not the fertilizer's fault.

My Grape Ape is not beasters by any means. This is some of the best smoke I have ever grown!!!!! I used all fox farm with the addition of sweet, super nice buds!!!!

the single largest advantage he had... buckets... ZERO restriction for root space. I've seen organically sourced nutrients used in buckets with similar results. It is NOT about synthetic nutes, believe me.

Hey CC, are you talking about something along the lines of the OBBT system?

A friend of mine used to have an aquaponics system in his shop but he was only growing basil and other small herbs in tubes. I never saw one produce top quality cannabis.

I really think the combination of hydro and organics can work great but I´d like to see more examples for proof of concept.

This was fun to read. I quit using Miracle Grow in High school when I noticed that salt build up was constricting growth in the tail end of a cycle. As far as Foxfarm goes,I can't say that I was ever impressed with any product I tried. No matter what problems I encounter,I have stuck with Organic gardening for around 15 years or more. No looking back now!
