ok ive been growing bagseed for a few years now, with descent results. but, now im ready for my 1st real bean order. bagseed was always so random in plant strains i was all over the place with size, structure, quality etc... i have a small grow space but still manage a 600 watter. i need help with my choice. heres my criteria. 1. smaller in stature but good to heavy yields, less branching, etc. 2.lower odor i know it all stinks but lower older would be better. 3. thick dense hard buds. 4.fast to harvest. 5. partial to purple or blue varieties for that bag appeal. ive got my eye on blue cheese from barneys or big budha, blueberry from dutch passion, spoetnick 1, master kush. i really like hashberry from mandala but no feminized. but anyway those are my front runners now im only gonna order 1 strain because of space so i need to get this right. advise would be great

All strains (hybrid) will grow small/quickly and bushy with a 24/0 vegg application. I do 2 weeks of 24/0 then 18/6 for 2-3 weeks before going 12/12. The 24/0 keeps them small and bushy and the 18/6 will put some height on them before 12/12 (as plants stretch much more with the 6hrs dark period searching for the light) and expect them to grow 3 times in height when flowering just to be on the safe side. So start your 12/12 at 1ft tall plants and they should not exeed 3ft when harvest time comes around. I use this method to good effect by using 1 lamp from seedling to harvest without changing lamps (400w h.p.s dual spectrum growlux) and always finish from seed to harvest in 12 weeks (hybrid).

great advice thanx, any preferred strains?

I love masterkush and super skunk or skunk special from nirvana all are hybrid strains (regular) mostly indica based and every strain i have done is always ready in 12 weeks from seed to harvest. I dont pre germ my seeds i just plant them straight in to the medium. The masterkush has a lovely fresh smell along with the skunk and i cant say one is better than the other after harvesting and curing as both are just as good. Harvested at the right time they are both a very powerfull smoke.

No problem just remember the plant maybe 10" tall in an 8" tall pot (for example) and that will already be 18" tall before you go in to flowering and allow at least (at maximum height/ready to chop) with a nice 12-15" for the light to be above the canopy.
(Just call me chris).
look forward to hearing from you.

so how quick do u start flower for the small space

I give mine 2 weeks of 24/0 and 2 weeks of 18/6 and they are around 10-14 inches by then (excluding the pot height 8") so they are around 18-20" (canopy height) from the floor before i start my 12/12 and they always turn out to be around 2.5-3.0ft plant height in an 8" pot so at the end i would say they are at a total height from the floor with the plants still in them as 3.5-4.0ft max. So its 8" pot height and near 3ft plant size if that makes sense.

Try some Nirvana strains they are all good.

California Orange Bud for the fact that it smells like oranges, and meets all your other requirements, no purple though.

or try
White Rhino, a juicy fruit smell and taste, very good yielder.

Another thought
Grapevine Seeds Sourbubble, very very yummy piney Xmas tree buds.... yum.

have fun

Is this for you or for someone else? If it's for you.... I'd be thinking more about what would be best for you. If it's for others..... well, some folks like something other than purple head fog. :D

Either way.... Stay Safe! :tree:

Edit: in other words.... whatever you grow can be controlled through changes in grow style. Who cares what it grows like if it's great or perfect for you. :D
