Dang!!!! Way to welcome a new member Shroom. What crawled up your butt?

Salbahe, I use 16 oz. cups for sprouting then transplant into 3 or 5 gal pots or buckets. 5 gal being the best if you have room for them. It helps to know what size your grow room is and how many plants you plan on growing. Hope this helps....and yes, search is very handy, there is no subsitute for reading. Welcome to the forums BTW.

Hi!

I have grown autos in 0,5lit bottles with great succes.
But bigger pots is more easy. Just like with fish tanks. Bigger pots is more forgiving to an unexperient grower. Bigger pots, bigger crops.

Peace and love

cheesey

autos need root space from day 1 . so pot size 5ltr upward will work

I've done 3 liter pots for Autos, I'm conviced this keeps them under 10 inches, and might cause health problems in the future of the plant.

Bigger is better if you got the space, there is no max size. use a garbage can if you got the space. I'm doing 1 of my malibu strain under a 1000hps in a garbage can. the malibu in the front is in a 5 gallon the sativa cross in back is the biggest auto flower I've ever had and shes in a 7 gallon. looking for huge yield, go big.

I'm having second thought on the Afghan kush ryder. so far all the reviews i see are negative. Anyone have any success with them?

Haven't heard anything about Afghan Kush. You might want to try Lowlife Auto-Hindu. The yield from my research and from what I've heard is average, and I've never heard of anyone having a problem with them not autoflowering.

I would highly recommend a minimum 3 gallon pot for maximum yield. No transplanting, plant in final pot. Yes, that means you might waste some on males. The females will blow you away though. You might try dro if you want big plants in small reservoirs.

Im going to cut some square downpipe into 1.5ft lenths and try them out as pots, there a bit thiner than a 2L coke bottle but il cut it to twice the lenth, in the spring/summer il try this out in the greenhouse. I might even try different lenths

I Originally posted this idea last year using PVC piping, It worked great... auto roots like to down down.. not across... the deeper they can go the bigger your plant will be...

it must have been your post that i read. thanks :)

whats the longest lenth you tried? how long do you think is to long?

i was thinking if i used the square downpipe i could fit them in tight together in a 10 x 10 grid and grow something that produces 1 single cola
