the confusion is in the bill's wording being 5 or more is a minimum 6 months. So they did not decriminalize below 5.
that 911 call sucked. haha

You'd get the most out of your money if you moved to central Canada (Saskatchewan/Manitoba). Manitoba is a very nice place to live. Largest collection of freshwater lakes in the world, open prairies with scattered forests. Much like Sweden if I'm not mistaken.

The job market in the capital is much like everywhere else. You may find a good employer here but being an immigrant with a record will be very hard to work around.

If you ever considered wanting to grow outdoors, Manitoba is the place to do it. Winnipeg's (Capital of Manitoba) population is around 700, 000. Very few LEO's around during harvest time. Winnipeg doesn't even have 1 police helicopter.

Happy hunting!

Wow what a bunch of crap posted here. I live in the prairies jobs are scarce. Welders right now are a dime a dozen I personally know 12 different welders out of work some with the own rigs and B pressure tickets. Your ticket may or may not count. Look into that first. As for 15000 being lots forget Alberta, BC. Sask has jobs and cheap housing Manitoba well you really don't want to live there.

Welders are a dime a dozen? :YaRight:

Only welders not working right now I know of - are the ones who are dependant on the union to get em work...

Junior_grower: Murder capital per capita is what you meant. There is crime in every major city. If you do not like to live in a major city like Winnipeg, Manitoba offers other nice alternatives that are more than fine to live. Canada has 9 000 000 sq km of land (about half is livable).

It seems as though you may be a little lonely growing up in the vast wilderness of Canada and have seem to forgotten how to use an open mind.

Keep to yourself if you're scared boy. Junior, if you can't hang in the Major leagues of Winnipeg, you might as well keep to yourself on the farm you live on. I'm sure it's much nicer there.

the city of vancouver, of over 1 million has 12 murders a year on average. the city of winnipeg has 50-60 on average, and has less then half the pop of vancouver. chilliwack has the most murders per capita, winnipeg has the most, d

Welders are a dime a dozen in Ontario as well. When you get laid off its one of like 10 courses you can pick to retrain. 60% of people who choose to retrain pick welding others pick truck licence, heavy equipment etc.
so we got thousands of welders with no experience no job and when they get one it will pay $12.50/hr

Secure job in Canada? Work at Tim Horton's
we have immigrants with PhD's working there:)

When you mentioned you were a welder you,d be guaranteed a job at least in Nova Scotia as the Fed gov,t just announced that Halifax got the contract for $25 (yes twenty five)Billion to build the new Navy ships. The work is pretty much good for close to 30 yrs.I would think the wages for a speciaized welder would be at least $35.00 hr. if not higher.Property is def cheaper than western Canada and the pace of ppl. on the east coast is a few notches lower than western Canada.
The contract which was given to Irving Shipbuilding is massive when you think it will be good for almost 30 yrs. Probably see quite an influx of job hunters and Irving will be looking for all tyes of trades...Hope this helps..if you need more infor just Google it or PM me.

ask the trailer park boys, they'd know...

I,m sure Bubbles or Ricky could help a guy out....I think Bubbles bought a nice bar in Hfx,and is doing well with it...The bar I believe is called "Bubbles"...what else would he call it ...lol

Hfx for the size of it (300K people is a busy spot) The crime rate tho per capita is one of the worst in the country....

But it is a nice place.Anything is available there.

Halifax is great, south side hali is where all the universities are and brings alot of college students around . North end hali , well , its not quite as nice but livable. I lived there for 4 yrs going to college, great place. Good cannabis is hard to find but it is out there, just like jarff said good and bad all equal same price tag. Kinda strange . The night life here is spectacular if that is what you are into, just think all those college students gotta get hammered somewhere. Halifax real estate is outrageous , almost sub par with western provinces and you get nailed hard for income taxes , other than that its great . I am a journeyman electrician and have seen jobs for trades people already in the local paper for shipyard and the trailer park boys were from Dartmouth A.K.A Darkside , that is across the harbor from halifax, crazy muthafuckin place!!
