the volcano wins overall

but for taste indeed , "the verdamper" is the best , but it is so big and breakable.

Still one day when i have money too much i will buy me one.

The IOlite is great, a little hard to pull sometimes, but other than that easy peazy. It has to warm up just like any other vape, but once it goes, it is great to smoke from.

totally agree, sometimes it s hard to pull.
but it is definetly very efficient (can be almost compare to the volcano in efficiency), very stealth, using gas is really easy, i don t think a portable vape could be much better.

my choice in price/quality. but the volcano is a must.

i have limited experience, so i went and tried the DIY halogen bulb vaporizer
wasn't about to shell $500 to start with
i find this simple little vape excellent, no throat irritation at all once you get used to its 'rhythm'
and the cost, about $20(if that) is a nice feature

A classic variable temp heat gun with a vapor bowl or a volcano hands down.

I also have a vapor brothers digital. The whips are ok but get burn spots easy and require a lot of screen cleaning.

Haven't tried the extreme, but I have heard it is pretty good.

Just picked up a vapor genie. Haven't used it yet, but for the price it can't be beat, and it seems relatively foolproof. All reviews I've read have been great.

Any firsthand experience here??

Cool until you get too stoned.

You have to be pretty precise when using it. The flame has to be just right or soot will build up on the porcelain/lava stone. I had one and gave it to my brother because it was just a PITA for me.

It does work though.

The flame has to be almost EXACTLY like this pic.

If it is too close or too far away it will either soot/clog the disc up or just not get hot enough.
I found that if you run the flame around in circles you get more even heating and vape from it. It also is prone to hot spots in the bowl.

I own a Volcano, SSV, Vapor Warez box and Purple Days (PD). I use the PD the most. I can't remember the last time I used the SSV (over rated imo). The Volcano is great for group sessions. The VW box is very good but doesn't see much action. I highly recommend the PD for an every day vaporizer. Plug it in and leave it on 24/7 (8w).

Hey, somebody mentioned the Purple Days -- I love mine! Never owned or used another vape, but the PD is ideal for one user. Well, ideal for me at least. I run mine at 13-13.5 Volts instead of the stock 12V. That way I can vape up a load in 2 hits, just 10-20 seconds and I'm set.

It uses a ridiculously small amount of cannabis, just a fraction of what I used to use. My last harvest was only 4.5 ounces or so, but no problem. I'll cook up a few bottles of Green Dragon, and the remaining 1.5 ounces will last till the next harvest.

"I'll be right back dear, just going out to the barn for a second...."

I read that production and inventory is very limited on the Purple Days, but there is another manufacturer with a similar product. Aromazap? Myrtlezap? don't remember....

I'm not a card-carrying member of the Purple Days cult, but it's sure a damn fine product.

Hey, Hoss, did you ever go to use your Purple Days and find it cold, meaning you have to wait 30 minutes for it to warm up? Happened to me yesterday (the plug pulled out). AAARRRGGGHHH! ... That's when you realize how much you like it....

I love my Silver Surfer, the hands free attachment makes all the difference in my opinion. Tried the Volcano, too much of a production imo and the Vaporgenie, I never got it quite right.

which vape gives the user more control over temperatures?

How accurate are they and could they be used for basic distillation?

you could use any of these for distillation. You would need allot of product and a way to collect the vapor. The extreme is very accurate but to use it or any for distillation is not worth the effort imo.

I've been using both the Extreme Vapor Tower and an Iolite. Both for around 9 months. They both work exceptionally well.

IMHO it works. I have never heard a bad thing about one. You are speaking of hearsay, I speak from first hand knowledge.

It administered the dose, back pain, headaches were gone.

*Oh one thing I love about it, is that I smoke in movies with it. I use a piece of tubing (like for a fish tank) and leave it in my coat pocket and use the 'whip'.

What makes you think I'm speaking from hearsay? I have tried the Iolite at least 3 times and it sucked. It has a steep learning curve and you really have to know just how to hit it to get a good hit. I've used it, it sucks, there are many better options available, the end.

Just thought I'd point out that the thread is called "What is the Best Vaporizer?" - not "What is your opinion about vaporizers that you wouldn't recommend."

lol

I've owned a Volcano for about a year now and love it. It's really awesome. I posted in a thread about "The Extreme" and a lot of people gave me shit for posting when I didn't own one, so guess what? I bought one.

Got it about 6 days after placing the order (I'm in the US) and guess what. it IS every bit as good as my Volcano. The glass pieces are high quality and the hits taste every bit as good.

Honestly I can no longer recommend the Volcano to people as the outrageous cost is simply not justified. Again, I own both, and am as impressed with the Extreme as the Volcano, and it's under half the price.

My vote is for the Extreme. I was a die hard Cano fan, and again posted in the Extreme thread that I can't imagine how a cheaper device could match the Cano in the way of quality, but I admit, I was wrong. Every bit as good. F#$K the Cano, get an Extreme. I'm puttin my cano on Ebay, I coudl use the extra $$

yes thats the one. I think Volcano needs to lower there price to be competitive with the extreme. I would of liked it if the extreme was able to do concentrates.
