I hate having to go to work, I hate my job, for no real reason in particular. My job pays well, its not that hard, I just hate having to get up early as f*ck in the freezing ass cold and having to go to work. Almost everyday I daydream of growing for my main source of income and just having some meaningless easy part time job to make up the difference.

if you hate your job let's hear it, I know I cant be the only one.

I like my job - it's my nasty assed scottish pitbull boss I can't stand.

Or her neo-nazi thug fave employee - he has threatened both Netwerx and I, and almost made a male co-worker cry with rage with racial insults, as well as being a complete lying douchebag. And he is still there - still her fave, and seems teflon coated and bullet proof.

I hate those 2.

But the job is good - and I really enjoy working with Netwerx.

yes, i hate my job! it would be ok but these numbnut kids these days make everything worse. maybe they should stay at home and let their mommy and daddy take care of them rather than actually trying to lift a finger.

Yeah crappy co workers can really make a good job suck, my boss is a pms'ing dousche, the coworkers are all pretty decent, customers suck. And I hate having to pretend to give a f*ck.

I hear that - the place I'm at now, I've got 21 yr olds in their second job trying to give me orders and life lessons. I'm late 40's, been working 30 yrs.

WTF is up with late teen, early 20 somethings??? They have more goddamned attitude, will not shut up, and sneer at everyone or everything that "bothers" them while they are chattin' or texting, or just standing around doin' fuck all... At work...

I have a great job, but I'm tired of working for other people. It's been less than decade since I got out of college, but I'm really tired of working for a paycheck paid by someone else.

That situation is being rectified as we speak.

Job satisfaction is becoming more and more a thing to dream about...

What separates slavery from days of dread and the inability to just quit...?

Ya know...?

The bills, the car, the house, the wife...

Yea, it goes on...

At one time i was very happy cause i liked what did,Now with the slowdown .Its been kind of a take what you can get as far as hours and job tasks. And the job has changed from satisfying meaningful work to ,moreso alot more menial tasks .Just have to keep looking till i find something else.Even if unhappy,i go by the rule .Never leave one job ,until you have another..These days if you have a job period, your doing ok....

Ah don't get me started on these young bucks... I'm stuck dealing with them all day; about 1/2 my staff unfortunately...

I hate work, but largely because I'm not willing to fill the bosses in right now about my medical situation... Just not a target I need on my back right now when they're working pretty hard to keep us working steady...

I love the lil young bucks - they keep me entertained at least... Last few guys I had to skid from site - all had mommy come in and try to 'tune me up'. C'mon?! Seriously? Get fired and have mommy come fight your battle for ya? That's REALLY going to help yer case...

when you start to hate your job... remember, there are many people who would LOVE to have your job...

there are many people who can't even get jobs these days... even people with masters and doctorates degrees...

so count your blessings

luckily, I work for MYSELF, so if I dont feel like working one day, then you know fucking what? Im not fucking working! i encourage everyone to work for themselves... thats the one thing about us guys and gals here on IC, were all mostly entrepreneurs at heart... well the people who grow for profit atleast

I went from earning 6 figures (own firm) to working in (managing) the shipping department of a place 3 minutes from my home.

I pretty much work all the overtime I want, pay isn't great, but I'm thankful to be working right now.

I guess when you put things in perspective, the view changes slightly.

Honestly, the part I dislike the most is the "caliber" of folks in the work-force at a place like this....It seems, at times, that some of these folks are in slow-motion...both physically and mentally.

So much for a high finance background :D

Also, I think the plant manager fears I'll take his job...lol :elf:

The short answer is yes, for the time being I like my job.

I am with you on this bro. I think one should be pretty thankful, in this world economy , to be able to make ends meat even if the work is trying at times!

I have worked for myself for more than 20 years. There have been some good years, some okay years, but a lot of thin years. This past year was a thin year. If I made $45,000 I will be surprised.

Having said that, my prospects for this year are outstanding and I expect to be back in a "good year" by a fairly wide margin. I have toyed with the idea of growing my income, but I always run into the same problems: how do you distribute the product without creating undue exposure to risk and what do you tell your wife if the cops walk in the door? I couldn't send my wife away for the rest of her life, so I have always set it aside and only grown what I needed to medicate my condition and hope for the best.

Every work day, I get up and I am unemployed. I must work all day to see if today is a payday, but it might not be and the week or month may prove to not be a payday. You get up every work day and go to your job, punch the clock and hope you won't get fired or the business goes belly up by the end of the day, leaving you jobless and without a source of income. When the business hits a homerun I can buy cars, pay down my mortgage and shower money upon my family. When you work for the other fellow this isn't possible as the homerun stays with the business owner and the people who put the money up to finance the business.

If you don't like your boss and you don't like your job then it is time to remember that you can change this at any time by starting a business of your own or by investing more in business enterprises. Over time, the more you invest the less you will have to work.
