3 old breeds saved & 9+ new Xlnt crosses

3 old breeds saved & 9+ new Xlnt crosses

High, without getting into drama about this person, because he passed on last year good soul ,but hurt very bad and very sick. was a step bro some time ago in my past, just respect for the soul,

yes it was true, I was givin the this project after he was gone as was a few others here.
Been working very hard on this project, something about it, it had to be finished.
So far a xlnt Thai pheno came out both sexs very lucky, work with that and started crosses with a very dependable & stong Cinderella 99 male from GN collection pack recived some 3 or 4 yrs ago been working with that myself really love that strain.
using Cindy to stable the landrace sativas.

Also was 2 strains of the central & south american typethat worked well, the mexican strains all feather like , to much trouble to brother with, some talk of a panama in this group never saw it or found it ect.
Other than that, some new strains now been grown out for the last year and backcrossed, looking good, some 9 crosses with some of the slick hybreds, sour diesil used, org. bubblegum, love potion, jacks cleaner, then some of my old stuff , basic 5, beatrixs choice, williams wonder, khyber afgan, and durban-highflyer, and lastly blueberry-skunk cross.

I will start a new thread on this but i felt this thread should be addressed and forwarded to a new beginning as it was supposed to in the beginning,

The person that started this was a good soul I wont say anything bad about someone that is gone, but he wasnt my favorite person in the world.
But thats that and whereever he is now I hope its peaceful,
Now for what he left here in the materail world for us ,were lucky, something saved something made ah its all good
Peace Master Thai

Speaking of Dalat, what happened to Di Wee Dalat from c.w.? He was supposed to have a bunch of Dalat seeds and crosses for sale before c.w. disappeared.

old seeds

old seeds

I had 21 thai stick seeds left from 1979 and i soaked them over night in tap water, then planted them in a rubbermaid shoebox in sunshine #3 seedling mix and laid a piece of wax paper over it, after a week of checking it and misting a few time,i forgot about it, another week and i found one 27yr old that seed that sprouted and was alive and well.

the old age or what ever cause for a very slow start, but after a couple weeks its the hardiest stocky lil thai plant ive had since i saved the seeds from a bundle of thai sticks purchased from Hawaii in 79..its short noded and as wide as it is tall 13"+ today and very robust :)

and the beans were kept in a baggie in the cupboard all this time..

stay safe GK

Hi,

You can put your seeds in RO water + 10ppm GA3 + Agar-Agar during 24h....
It's a method used to increase the germ rate with seeds from hard to germ plants

Slightly off-topic, but this story may give you guys some cause for hope - these seeds have just been germinated at the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew - they were brought to Britain in 1803 by a Dutch merchant, and they have just successfully got them to pop...:)

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/5361396.stm

Given this history, the Kew team said they were surprised by their success.

"They had been kept under pretty poor conditions," said Matt Daws, a seed ecologist with the Millennium Seed Bank.

"They'd been in a ship for a year, certainly for months, coming back from the Cape, then they'd been kept in the Tower of London for a number of years; only in the last 10 years have they been in controlled conditions.

"So I didn't expect any of them to germinate," he told the BBC News website, "and the three that did really are tough seeds."

they should take 'core samples' down to the base of the mounds
(the savanah plain ) and see if they where built
'from the plain up and all deliberate.

some say mounds are natural but a core sample showing carbon char
down to base means all man made.

probably a combination higher areas were built up but
I'd like to see a core.

some mounds are pretty deep.
