This is a guide by the Association of Chief Police Officers, on raiding 'cannabis factories', dealing with head shops, etc, i.e. lots of info that will help you protect yourself if the unfortunate happens!, its a must read imo.

*there is another one somewhere with the actual sentence to plant number guidlines, cant find it at the moment but will post back...

Thanks. Most interesting....

Haha,, the stuff on booby traps and bubble bags are most comical,,,

enquote:

'Equipment for the production of 'high grade' (high THC content) cannabis resin has no legitimate use'.

There's several thousand Canadians (also governed by the Queen) who'd disagree!

It most likely means no legitimate use other than for making illegal drugs. Would maybe be a good idea to brainstorm some other uses we could claim for them. A friend of mine thought they were water wings when he saw them hanging to dry but I doubt the pigs would fall for that lol

That info isnt in this m8, there is another one with that info but it seems to have gone missing, it did basically state that for one plant the maximimum sentence is a caution though.

This is more interesting from a 'how the police think about cannabis' point of view, 'scary' maybe a better word than 'interesting' though, it suggests to me they are led by numpties who will rely on propaganda and nonsense rather than fact. :bashhead:

The way we read it,, the oinks are being guide-lined towards contextual evidence to support a case of 'cultivation with intent to supply'... (and/or 'conspiracy to cultivate' in the case of grow-shops).

While plant numbers are contextual ,, plant numbers alone do not provide direct evidence of 'cultivation with intent to supply'... just 'cultivation'.

Hope this helps

Yeah I remember there being more emphasis on the sophistication of the grow rather than plant numbers. Basically the more gadgets and shiny stuff stuff you've got in your grow the more chance you have of custodial.
No joke, I read a newspaper story about a small home grow this week where the judge said 'due to the sophistication of this operation I have no choice but to grant a custodial sentence', I've no idea what the logic behind that is but it's what's used. It's also a postcode lottery for the most part, a lot of big Chinese grows round my way so doubt they'd give a toss about me.

I also heard about this, it was only a few plants aswell, but his set up was so 'sophisticated' he was obviously a danger and needed locking up i mean really WTF!!??

...but yes keeping things looking as 'low tech' as poss, the rozzers never seem to like hydro to much!.. maybe they find it a bit harsh and unflushed!? lol. Certainly no spangly smart futuristic looking led set ups hey Verdant !! just kidding mate.
But on a serious note some interesting and in parts amusing reading!
Happy new year all, stay safe !!
