It seems to me that the curing process consist of the active materials in the plant breaking down. I.E. chlorophyll, sugars & other chemicals; and turning into psycho-active chemicals that work with the receptors in the brain to deliver a euphoric feeling throughout the body. IMHO, an airtight storage is just that...an airtight storage. Whether vacuum sealed or sealed in an airtight mason jar, the chemical breakdown process with occur. However when it comes to long term storage, a vacuum sealed storage container may provide useful. Anyone else got an opinion on this?

In theory at least, an oxygen purged environment would probably be ideal if you could manage it. Nitrogen would probably be the cheapest cover gas. Pulling a hard enough vacuum to really matter would probably not be achievable with a pump n' seal.

Agreed. However I believe if mold spores were present in the initial sealing environment, It's possible that you could encounter problems. Im not sure though. Can anyone set me strait?
