sealed room

a friend has built a sealed room and his girls are droopy and not real perky, its not over or under watering,he is thinking that the girls being 6 inches tall are getting to much co2,his monitor is around 1000ppm and that just from him being in there breathing, should he vent a bit to lower the ppm?

They need to get less co2 at first. If you put them straight into flower they dont do it as much, but in veg when you put them at 1000-1200 ppms they always droop 24 hours in. I never veg in over 600 anymore seem to do better.

Really they dont wilt when you first put them in? Mine always did everytime no matter what 73 lights on 78 lights on until I cut the co2 levels.

he cant seem to get the co2 levels down without running alot of frsh air through the room which is not working well with the sealed room,it has emergency intake and exhaust but its usually not below 800 even with that, the co2 monitor in the house is at 1000 and take it outside it goes down to around 500 ish...stumped on what to tell him to try...

Sealed rooms can be a bitch to dial in. Has anything been successfully grown in this space before? Have you ruled out 'outgassing' ?

The problem i had was air poisoning, which was fixed by replacing the propane tank and co2 burner, one of the two were causing presumably co poisoning in the air.

Also you need to run a dump fan all night, it dosnt need to be big just a small draw all night.

Check the post i made here about that...

The plants looked great once i fixed the problem as you can see in that thread

I would turn the co2 off and take the propane tank out the room and run an exughst fan 24/7 to see if it improves and if it does get a new tank or burner...

currently there is no co2 being expelled in the room except for when he is in there, its funny to see how fast it goes up while in there just from breathing,he has hooked up an intake and exhaust to come on for 5 minutes an hour and that has seemed to make them perk up quite a bit,ill check out your thread, thanxs

so if you had no added co2 in there and no in out fans then thats the problem...or did you just turn the co2 off to see if it fixed it. If you have no added co2 i would run the exhaust 24/7 to bring in fresh co2..

your ppm should never drop that low unless it is lights out. during the day you want to maintain a constant 1500ppm give or take 100 or so. when i am in my room it shoots over 2500ppm. i have no intake or exhaust.
