An illegal grow in Lancashire sparked an investigation when local residents complained their street lights were suddenly too dim. It turns out the residence housing the sophisticated grow in three bedrooms was tapping into the street lighting circuit and causing the lights to dim.

The 19 year old woman living in the residence was arrested and charged with "suspicion of growing drugs and illicitly removing power."

Man I've got a streetlight on my own property, hardwired to the grid (not on a meter ) and it's 20 feet from my grow. Totally weird, but one of my buddies suggested I tap into it! LOL, I didn't, but the thought did cross my mind.

I love the Britts. Illegally removing power....is that similar to illegally removing a car? Stealing power seems like the best way of getting caught.

Why don't people just pay the damn power bill? It's 3rd in line in order of expense behind rent/mortgage and labor and followed by equipment. Dumb asses think "their own labor is free and what else can i get away with?"
Bottom line is pay the effen power co. or expect an extra knock on the door.

I think most of the growers that steal power are doing very large ops, or in Canada because BC Hydro will report high usage to the cops. Large canadian growers don't have much choice.

I picture a long, dim block, with one house glowing like a jack-o-lantern, lol.

CLASSIC --- D DREW....

Apparently, a similar thing happened in NorCal. A few nearby residents were unable to grow their buds, because of someone;s excessive power-usage...

He was Promptly Popped... Most likely, after a new spike in usage caused the problems for the neighborhood.

I just heard about this. The Guy was a well known local pollen-chucker, with a relatively well-known strain named after his Daughter.

When I heard how many lights that the rumour says he had running I was shocked... Something like 43 1000 K's.... Thatwould have killed the market further...!! Although, the other area growers unable to do their thing, would bring the total down, I guess. lol..

Wow.. Balls, or Impunity, or Callousness, or Carelessness... You judge... "POWER, MINE...!" He said...

As one Gym Teacher I knew once exclaimed..

"There is a fine line betwewen Guts and Stupidity."
