Its day 35 on my very first grow.

the little seedling i call turtle. can you believe that it is as old as the mature plan? this is my first time growing mj period of any kind. its all a total experiment. The clone is actually doing better than i expected. once i see some roots, i'm going to stick it in the res of the ag.

I am lst ing her and yes it is official Ginormica is a she! woo hoo

Well you're doing great! Don't get impatient with the clone it sometimes takes awhile.

some info about my grow.

some info about my grow.

when i first started i almost killed my poor plant and babied her to death.

I started of with germing 3 seeds in a wet paper towel between two plates sitting on a heating pad. they all germed just fine so i put them in pods and stuck them in the AG. (root tap down of course)

1 started get leaves and growing just fine, 1 never sprouted, and 1 would not chuck its seed shell for like3 weeks so i pulled it of and she started to grow very, very very slowly so i took it out of the AG andput it in some dirt for an experiment. so the seedling that you see in the pics is the same age as the full grown plant. crazy huh.

there names are Ginormica and turtle. lol

I started giving nutes at 3 weeks, and that was a huge mistake. all i had was the AG nutes and I only used 1/4 of the tab. she did not like that at all. so i flushed the system and just ran her on plain water, but she was still looking terrible. I had been using PH strips, a liquid Ph tester and lithmus paper to check the PH. those things suck so don't use them. Do you and your plants a favor and get a digitle PH meter, they rock! You can get one on ebay for like 15 bucks.

After I started using the didtle PH meter things went great.

Now it was time to start adding nutes. I got the 3 part Micro, Grow, and Bloom from advanced nutrients. I got a 1 gallon jug (clean milk jug) filled it with water and let it sit uncapped overnight to let the chlorine evaporate. Then I Ph'ed the water to 5.6 and added in equal parts 1/2 ml of each nute. and then put it in the res. I also made up an additional gallon to add to the res through the week when the water level gets low.

I fill the res as full as it will go just before spilling over so that the roots don't dry out. and also I was able to turn the AG water pump off. it was making the water too damb hot.

I syfon the water out of the res once a week and add new nutes to the water upping it by 1/2 ml each time i change the water. this seems to be working well.

I check the PH 3 times a day, at first it was hard to keep it down but now that she is in flower I only have to adjust it once a day.

I am useing an air stone in the res, and 4 additional lights with 3 that come with the AG so its about 182 watts. the AG lights are full spectrum and 26W each. During VEG my additional lights were 26W 6500K cfls then I switched them out for flower to 26w 2700k cfls. and so far so good. Its official its a GIRL!

I have a cool mist humidifier in my cab that keeps the humidity where it should be and it doubles as the fan so the stalks are nice and thick. .....thick....lol

The hood on my AG raises to 24 in so i am lsting too.

I have a CO2 generator in there that they like. this is what I used and it is super simple and not messy.

1 gallon jug
1 packet of bakers yeast
1 cup of sugar
6 cups of luke warm water
1 cap with pin size holes in it

put the sugar, yeast, and water in the jug and swirl it around to mix just a little, put the cap on and put it in your grow room next to your plants. about every 2-3 days poor out 2 cups, add 1 cup of sugar and 2 cups of luke warm water. you can keep this going for almost forever.

I think thats it, I did a wake and bake this morning so if ya'll have any questions, comments or concerns then just ask and I will do my best to help.

oh yah, I disconnected the hood light from the ag and robbed my printer of its power cord so that I can put the hood on a timer with the rest of the lights. my lighting schedual went 24/7 and I reduced the light time by an hour every 7-9 days now I am at 12/12 for flower.

sorry this is so long winded, but I know that there are a lot of people with questions about AG grows. thanks for reading.

PS i only use 1 drop per gallon of the superthrive.

I just changed out the res. and gave her 2 ml each of the micro, grow and bloom from AN. and 2 drops of the superthrive. i will have pics of her later on this afternoon. I also changed out the solution for the clone.

question: next week when i change out the res and bump up her nutes, should i still give equal amounts of the AN nutes or do i do 2 1/2 of the micro and grow and then more of the bloom? and how would I use the molasses? do i use it by itself or in conjunction with the other nutes. can someone give specifics on this?

she is growing sooooo fast now. i gave her a teaspoon of black strap molasses today. in my back up gallon of ph'ed and nuted water that i use to replenish the res with, I have changed the nutes. bumped the micro to 2 1/2 ml, no grow, and 5 ml bloom. time to beef up the flower power. lol :canabis:
