Support for depression treatment

This has probably been brought up before, but does anyone know of any case studies that support the use of cannabis for the treatment of depression? I have been diagnosed with depression and would like supporting documents to bring to a doctor in favor of using cannabis as a treatment. I haven't used mj for many years but would like to give it a try to help get off the pills. Thanks

Just do it yourself I know numerous people that have done it . Do it slowly find out what strains work for you chances are that if you tell your doctor who has been giving you meds hes going to tell you its a bad idea. Your the only one who knows what works for you. goodluck

At this point I'd like to stay as legal as possible, the people I live with are somewhat concerned and I'd like to respect their feelings, I would be much more comfortable if I could carry a card. Thanks for the links JointedOne, much appreciated! I hadn't seen those, anyone else have any?

Trying to talk a doctor who has never prescribed/recommended mmj is something of a crusade. Why don't you just go to an mmj doctor and get a recommendation hassle free?
