Anyone tell me a seed to buy for this yrs garden grow, did my first outdoor this yr with ak 48, lost half a nice cola within two days down to rain.

Planted 4 in claysoil, 4 in my "mixture", didn't do bad but the clay material won at the end of the day, surprised me, had double the weight of the others.

I have a few cuttings off the biggest, and these are going out again, though not the ideal plant. Gonna go mad this yr if i can find the right plant, found a cracking site next to the motorway.

thanks.

Maybe because thats a lady and she has 2 nice buds, you might be subconsciously thinking of something else?Yeah, made it myself a long time ago, done quite a few of them over the years, nice innit?

Tip: Get any fresh manure into holes now and the frost in new year will help break it down ready for planting in May.
Frost wont break down manure, its heat that does that, in any case you want to put well rotted stuff in there can be done in may. If you dont use the well rotted stuff you could dig it out again next year & it will still look the same. The best stuff comes from the bottom of a muck heap, some of the temps in a good heap can get to 80-90 degrees, & its as black as soot. Use the same holes each year, takes 3 years to get a good soil if you do it the organic way. If your pulling up large clods then frost will break them down. Good luck.

I have never had any complaints from anyone on those affies cork:yes:Got to endorse Fingaz comments,if your just scooping up horse manure and sticking it into a hole next year its just going to look like dried coprolites and be of no benefit to the soil whatsoever,it needs rotting down on a compost heap

Panoramic, get yourself some Female Seeds Purple Maroc,I chopped 20 last night, had pouring rain all over the weekend, not one spot of mould on the PM,someone actually phoned me at work today who saw them hanging drying and asked me were they from my indoor.
Bigwity,I got my hindu-kush seeds from the Hindu-kush mountains,I worked there for a while and pakistans NWFP,I cant speak for the dutch versions from any of the seedbanks.

Bumping this thread because i have an ph isssue....

Tested some soil at a beautiful remote site, and to my disappointment the ph read 5.3.
I was planning on adding some organic nutes to the native soil and using that as my grow medium, but now after the acidic reading i got i'm thinking of using grow bags with the bottoms cut open. But i'm afraid the acidic native soil underneath will affect the ph of the grow bag.

Will it be ok to put some dolomitic lime down now to help neutralize the soil, i'm also considering sending some soil samples off to be tested to see what deficiencies are in the soil, rather than guess and add substances that don't need to be added.

1 cup of dolomite lime per cubic ft of that native soil and i bet you could grow in it directly. i would add other goodies too.

i always lean to using the ground soil. with bags you can still grow sweet plants of course but you will have to visit more often and this will leave trails etc.

if i was you i would mix 50/50 (native soil/growbag) dig a nice big hole and use plenty of dolomite lime.

most soils are peat based and acidic naturally anyways.

you can ph adjust your water feedings to 6.5 (ph) and spoon feed the plants at the right ph, to be extra safe.
