Is anybody using the new recommendation Canna are giving via their grow calculator here: http://www.canna.nl/en/growguide
for adding PK 13/14 at the start of week 3 bloom or are people still adding it at the start of week 5?

Also has anybody used their boost in conjunction with PK13/14 in the way suggested on the grow calculator and seen improved bud, trich's & yield??

lol, its a flowering booster with elevated levels of potassium and phos...

see Canna's spiel below,

Canna PK 13/14 Bloom booster is a pure phosphorus-potassium compound of high quality which is very often added during the blooming phase.

PK 13-14 is a dynamic flowering super-booster that will totally amaze you. It is an extremely concentrated formulation containing a carefully balanced and integrated blend of pure phosphorous and potassium elements for superior flowering results. This unique combination of elements can be called a super-bloomer that develops heavier, larger, sweeter crops extremely quickly.

- PK 13-14 has been proven by professional growers worldwide to increase the weight of your floral harvest significantly, crop after crop.
- Unlike substandard potash products, PK 13-14 has a guaranteed composition of 13% P205 and 14% K20.
- PK 13-14 is totally unique, absolutely safe, easy to use and incredibly effective.
- PK 13-14 is not a nutrient. It is a nutrient additive.
- A proven product that every grower should be using.

This is my first go with canna but I started at week three almost a week ago. I've used COCO A+B Rizotonic, cannazym, a silicon booster and pk13/14, they seem like great products and the schedule couldn't be simpler for such great results.

It won't let me access your link it says "the site is not available in my country" and redirects me to the old website. I have a link to the new site here http://www.canna.com/site/dhtml/index.php

Is this the same site as in your link?

I think my link might be a really old one, sorry.

it's not an old link. the canna website is sub-divided by country and your first post linked to the Netherlands site which is going to be inaccessible for some people.

I think it's because of the legal disclaimers that they insist on using.

not really a new claim canna been saying it for years specially in coco with the coco nute.. I go through abit of PK

i add 1ml per litre from wk 3 to 5, week 6 1.8ec of coco nute topped upto 2.2ec with PK.
wk7 1.0ec coco nute upto 2.0ec PK, wk8 drop ec to 1.0just PK (the more PK you use the harder PH is to adjust).

time to start adding PK if not a week earlier. Bigbud @ 3 and a bit weeks

If they go this well i will be pretty happy

Thanks guys...

@greyskull, I read you also use boost... did you notice better taste, smell & yield as they claim?

@headfortrinity, I knew I forgot something! Cheers... I need to pick up some silicone. I normally use Canna's NL site as the info is MJ based rather than toms :)

@thc43, nice looking big bud, good trich coverage going on... I have seen another company that rec a gradual increase in the dose (bio nova) I think. Is that schedule exclusive to your BB's or something you use, with slight alterations, with most strains?

Can I also add what the reasoning is behind adding it continually as appose to say Canna's rec of a single shot? (not knocking it btw, just curious)

boost knocks a week off flowering and increases trichs etc... GO read this thread:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=136037

Boost + Molasses produces the best bud in that experiment and it knocks a week off flowering...

The one thing I would say that unless everything is dialed in solidly, adding boost is a waste because it won't have maximum effect and that shit is expensive... I.e. you can't have deficiencies and then add boost expecting the great effects....

cheers mate, I started to read the other night, but it has thread 42 pages n I was kinda tired :D Have picked up where I left off and seems very intriguing!

I guess its the same for most enhancers, the room is dialled in but the strain is new to me... got the boost now so I'll see how it goes. Maybe a lil trial of my own???

i dont like NOT using Boost. It makes my buds greasier, smellier, and heavier. I cannot say that it helps with the taste because i ALWAYS supplement carbs anyways (ie Botanicare Berry Sweet... recently trying humboldt honey es but so far i prefer Sweet), which add another dimension to taste on their own. I think Boost further accentuates what the carbs do when used in tandem.

once your room is dialed in you should try Boost with Berry Sweet... you might like it more than plain ole mollasses and molllases based carb boosters. I find it helps create a more resinuos & pleasantly aromatic flower :xmasnut:

Shhh,

Im basicly using more PK on Bigbud compared to other strains she takes on a golden apperance with PK/ silica they are much greener and weightier. Sometimes the white rhino gets alittle purple/ dark foliage starting to suffer overfert with tipburn sure sign so i back it off or know the limit. This only happens when swapping from flouros to hps so its me partially pushing up EC too fast rather than the actual PK.

Added a few pics of what im smoking now. last of my W. rhino buds:smokeit:

@greyskull I keep reading your post as you DONT like using it :D I used advanced nutrients carboload liquid a couple times but it kept leaving a gunky residue in the water so I left it out. Cheers for the tip on berry sweet & boost I keep an eye out for that stuff.

thc nugz look dense mate, seems the pk and your skills are doing the bizz! have you got a diary here? Nice looking sog by the looks of it. Anymore info on the garden? plant per light how many lights what wattage etc...

I`ve always Known it to be recommended usage, 3 weeks from harvest for 1 week. I also heard that Canna now recommend using it for longer and a bit earlier, but I cant find out anything online. I`ve just finished week 3 and need to buy more A+B, cannazym and PK13/14, so I hope I`m not a week late with it.

I do have a litre of Atami PK13/14 though, and I assume PK13/14 is PK13/14 regardless of which bottle it comes from.

The ATami PK13/14 advice is as follows, this was taken directly from their website.

"High-quality natural Phosfor, Potassium preparation. Ensures a healthy root system. stimulates readiness to flower and exuberant flower period. Can be directly absorbed by the plant. Contains no roughage.

Application PK 13-14
As extra addition from the first week of the flower phase. Wash through with water and enzyme in the final week of the flower phase. For soil, hydro and cocos

Dosage

Slowly increasing from 2,5 - 15 ml to 10 litres"

Totally different regime there, what gives do ya reckon.

I've been using canna for a couple years now, just the a/b and pk. I add the pk as per canna's instructions, when the buds are just little little nugs, and then for about a week. All my plants have lived to tell the tale. I've also run it earlier, when pistils first form or when plants top off, and I noticed no dramatic change. Seems like veg cycles have more to do with good bud development than most anything else.
