What Did I Do Wrong?

Hello,
I Have 3 Blueberry, 2 Kali Most & 1 NDB x Double Fun. They Were Germed In Jiffy Pucks. They All Popped Basically The Same Time 12-04-09. 2 Days Later They Were Transplanted To Cups With Cactus Mix. Then Put Under 2-65K 2-27K CFLs For 2 Weeks They Looked Fantastic.

12-08-09 Then Put In A 20 Gal. DWC. With The Lucas Way 0-5-10 (M&B) PPM 701 PH 5.5. The Light Is A 400 Watt MH. At 18-6.

After First Day In DWC I Saw Nothing. 6 Hrs. Later Blueberry 1 & 2 Started To Yellow, Blueberry 3 Started Drooping. Kali Most & The NDB x Double Fun Are Yellowing.

It Looks Like Blueberry 3 Wont Make It. So What Did I Do Wrong & Whats The Fix? Oh Yea The Plants Are At 14 Days I Want To Veg 2 More Weeks.

Pics Included.

:thanks:
Longhair

They certainly didn't develop enough for the transplant imo...

I would have left them under cfl until the third set was fully developed and then weaned them onto some distant MH light on a veg cycle.

You could be feeding them too much and you could be giving them too much light too early.

I started with lucas formula and have modified it over time. 0-5-10 is the suggested dose for plants under non-hid lighting, and is considered to be full strength Lucas in your situation.

If I was in your shoes I would run PH'ed 5.8 water for 24 hours, then switch back to very low nutrients. You have seedlings on 701 ppm, I start my well rooted mature clones on 300ppm for the first 10 days. In your case I would start around 100 ppm @ .5 conversion. Strive to hit that 700ppm 0-5-10 solution during peak flower weeks 3-6 or strain dependent.

They will make it if you if you get them on straight water now to flush their root zone. Slow and steady wins the race :)

Hello,
Do You Think I Should Re-plant Back Into Cups? Would Removing Part Of The Rez & Adding PHed RO To Thin Out The Nutes & Lower The PPM.
Is A PPM Of 701 To Strong?
Once Again Thank You!

:thanks:

Hello,
All I Could Do Now Was To Remove 5 Gals. & Replaced With PHed RO. Now PPM 417 PH 5.8. I Have To Wait Till Morning Now. Now To Stay Awake Till Morning & Worry. I Haven't Hit My Panic Level Yet. It's Not Pretty!! Lol

The worst thing you can do in this situation is doing something different every day.

Take a toke and relax.. you're making the plants tense!

I think cutting back on your nutes would be paramount... but if you're going to do it, just do it. Messing with em too much when they're that young isn't good at all.

Hello,
Is There Away To Figure Out How Much M & B Needed Before Actually Adding The Nutes To The Rez? Should I Do The 24hr. Flush In The Morning?

I Want You To Know How Much I Really Appreciate Your Help, Being Blind, Things That I Used To Do On My Own Are Pretty Stressful Now Without Help.

Thank You

I vote too much too soon. 0-5-10 is for established plants.

I have two seedlings that size at the moment in an 18 gal tub. I'm feeding 0-1.25-1.25. When roots are long enough to span an airgap, I'll go to 0-2.5-2.5. At that point I chart EC and let the plant tell me how much more it wants.

Weed is hardy and DWC reacts quickly to remedies. You'll be fine. Drain 1/2 - 2/3 of the tub and replace with pH adjusted water.

I have to completely agree with freezerboy on this one slow down and relax you transplanted them a bit to fast give them time.:xmastree:

I agree with all the advise above but would add that you probably don't have much root mass yet. you might need to drizzle a bit of soloution from the top till you have roots that can reach the into the rez and get them on their own

That'll work but, the standard practice is to raise the waterline so roots and water are in direct contact. Once roots are long enough to span a 1" air gap, lower the waterline.

Yes. Further, the air bubbles breaking the surface throw water drops upwards. This keeps the inside of the pot moist but not submerged as well as aerates the water. It's the increase of oxygen to the roots that accelerates growth.

Hello All & Thank You,
With All The Help Things Might Be Getting Better! As Everyone Said "I Transplanted To Soon & PPM Was To High."

That Morning I Removed 9 Gals. & Replaced With 9 Gals. Of PHed RO.
PPM 155
PH 5.6
Raised Light About 10 In.

Lost 1-Blueberry 3 & 2-Kali Most 1 & 3. But Whats Left:
2-Blueberry Has New Growth
1-NDB x Double Fun Has New Growth. This Strain I Think Will Be A Keeper!
So Now I Need To Leave Them Alone!
Thank You FB Again!:xmastree:
