From seed or clone?

Good luck with the grow. I myself made the plunge, expecting my 126w anyday now. I will use it for lighting half of my 4w x 2d x 4h cab.

Are your plants from seed or clone? I am assuming seed.

Nice, compact grow my friend! With two 126w HG-LEDs i hope you yield almost a pound! I think my 4x4x7 tent is a little big for my 1x318w LED (with the two t5s it's a little better tho), and i expect to add another 318w light in there as soon as this round is over (got 16 newly rooted OG clones cueing up in the veg closet right now). 2x318w LEDs in a 4x4 tent is closer to the density that you are rocking right now, and I think with these LEDS, since heat is no issue, more is certainly better... only problem i will have is creating a support system to hang the two 40lb lights since with one light and my fan/filter i've already maxed out the weight limit on my tent! I also had some pH issues, and some Cal defs, but i blame that on the soil....

Hey, thanks for check out the grow. I am going to send you a PM with a solution for you. I am shooting for 4lbs! but I will be happy with 1. With LEDs you can really stack the panels into the grow area. The only issue is the weight. I already had to build a support structure for my main bloom room. I am hovering at 90-100 f and the plants seem to like it.

Thanks for stopping in and for the kind words. They are from seed

Day 42 @ 12/12

Day 42 @ 12/12

Here we are at Day 42 (start of week 6) of a 9/10 week strain. With 2 126W panels in this tent I should have the equivalent of at least 600w. At week 6 they do not seem as big as I expected them to be given the advantageous environment they are in. There is still 3-4 weeks left I am really hoping that these things undergo an explosive growth spurt here at the end and prove the lights work as good as the claims.

Yes CO2 at 1500 PPM water chiller and heater keeping reservoir at 68 f and a super sexy nute lineup. I really hope they fatten up the last few weeks because everything went great the entire grow. No setbacks or any reason I should not be getting a big yield off of these two panels. Guess we shall see.

Grow setup looks really nice and plants look really healthy, good work.

However, for 6 weeks, those plants look very behind on the bud development, I'd expect to see that level of bud development after 4 weeks with a HPS.

Be interesting to see how long they take, but it looks like they are not gonna be done in 10 weeks, wonder if this is due to the difference spectrum of the LED light compared to a HPS?

I agree they do look behind. However over the past couple days they do see to be filling in a lot more. They may very well go 11 or 12 weeks. One strain is a 9 week strain and the other is an 8-10 week strain. I would love to hear LEDGirls opinion on this matter.

Day 46 @ 12/12

Day 46 @ 12/12

These pics were taken yesterday (day 46 half way into weeek 6) they are a 9 and 8-10 week strain under 252w of HGL LED. They were vegged for almost 1 month. I am injecting CO2 at 1500PPM. The reservoir has been maintained at 68 degrees the entire grow. I am using the full line of Advanced Nutes and following there feeding schedule as a base.

The last update it was pretty obvious they were behind where they should be. They have filled up these past few days so I wanted to post some pics to see what you all thought.

the roots are huge. O2 is dissolved best in slightly colder water. The light vegged the plants great and it put on girth marvelously it just seems like its behind where it should be. You can blame a 1-3 degree difference in the roots if you want. I think its just a better supplemental or veg light. Oh I forgot to mention when ambient temps are in the 90s you should keep roots a bit cooler. Common knowledge... fellow grower?

Warbux, how much of an offset are you using between the canopy and the light panels? I see you mentioned somewhere around 5" to 6" - is that a guesstimate or did you measure that one out?

I'm hearing differing takes on the amount of distance the plants need to be from the lights and I am seeking a consensus of opinions from those who actually use the lights.

Grow looks good.

colder roots and high room temps both add up to being behind where you think you should be, also the deficiency set you back too. so this wont be a good test of these lights, not unless you ran an hps next to it with the same root and room temps and the same deficiency. so you have negated this as a test grow. you cant judge the performance of these lights based on this grow at all. the conditions you have mentioned would put ANY grow behind.

I'll second that. We have been suffering through a cold snap the past week and my seedlings have been frozen in stasis. Cold plants don't grow and mine aren't growing.

Yup, it appears growers need to compensate big time for the temp difference with LED lights in the room!

There are two different lights in there. One is 3 inches from the canopy and the other is 6 inches from the canopy.

68-70 degrees is not too cold for the roots and higher room temps with 1500 PPM CO2 is fine and has been well documented. A small Cal def for 2-4 days is not going to set the plants back several weeks and any grower knows it.

My plants arent cold. They stay over 85 during the day and about 75 at night.

DON"T BLAME THE LEDs!

Here's the culprit: "My setup consists of a DWC/Drip system"

LEDgirls new Aero System will significantly improve the height, width, and ultimately the yield- ASSUMING any P-K deficiency is averted. It was my input that inspired LEDgirl to offer this system.

Note LEDgirl's remark "The new misting is pretty darn cool ;) "

My last grow evolved on the fly. It started out as a DWC/drip. I moved to a low pressure mist heads on a spray bar, which was a bg improvement once I got the right heads, BUT when I went to a full on high pressure aero system (with deep cycle timer), that the benefits were quickly realized.

Although I managed 4+ ozs off one 2 ft plant, the limiting factor was nute delivery to the root system. Because of the new heads and pump, I did see new roots develop that looked like fish bones, however, it was very late in the grow. My root ball looked like a tight ball of twine.

Photo is 25 day old root system (from seeds) in my new TAG (True Aeroponic Grow) pod, under a competitors UFO 90 LED. Plant photo taken yesterday morning. Today, plants are taller and bushier. Today, I cut out some of the under growth. They are doing well, but I could use more light!
